IT ALL FELT LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN THE SIBLINGS would gather up and talk about everything that matched their interests, play millions of games, watch their favorite anime series. they got to live those memories again, expect that, those memories were no longer a mix of happiness and melancholy. they were now just pure joyful moments with just the three of them. y/n was finally able to feel the warmth of a family after being taken away from it. living almost alone for 10 years wasn't easy at all, she was deprived of love and support. hopefully, she can start a new chapter where she gets to live happily with her mother and brother.

their mother on the other hand was overwhelmed with happiness. she cried a lot once she saw her after all those years, however she was super happy that her daughter is back. she kept apologizing to her but y/n assured her that it wasn't her fault. aside from apologizing and crying, she kept following her like a puppy and holding her tightly which made the (h/c) haired girl laugh. she did miss her a lot, her mother was the strongest woman she could ever meet. she worked days and nights to provide everything her kids could ask for, and she wouldn't sleep until she made sure that her children ate well. and despite the fights and arguments with her husband, she always made time to play with them and listen to their little adventures. she thought they didn't know what was going on, at least, she pretended that they didn't. cause it was really obvious.

akaashi didn't bother to ask a single thing about his father, he didn't care at all. however, her mother did, she asked her how was he doing. but y/n just blankly said that he was busy with his new company and that he had no clue that she came back to japan. but since she's going to be 18 soon, she wouldn't have to worry about being forced to go back with him again. y/n only told them about his work and changed the topic afterwards. there are many things that she didn't tell her family about, the fact that he would always bring one of his female employees home, would not pay his bills and instead spend money on buying gifts, or gambling, and of course he still had that habit of getting drunk every single night.

having dinner with family was one of her biggest wishes, and it has finally come true. y/n was surrounded by her mother and brother, eating her favorite childhood meals that her mother used to make for her, and talking about silly topics. she was laughing again, feeling again, happy again and couldn't be more grateful than that. after finishing dinner, the siblings helped their mother with cleaning and washing the dishes. since she had a meeting tomorrow morning, she apologized and told them that she had to sleep early. after kissing both of their foreheads and wishing them a good night, she went to her room to rest.

y/n was drained from the trip, but she wanted to spend more time with her brother. she wanted to talk about everything with him, to catch up on so many things. akaashi didn't want her to stay up since she was exhausted, but after what felt like hours of begging, he finally gave in and allowed her to stay up just a little longer.

and with that, the two were under their warm covers, talking about school and other stuff. akaashi told her about volleyball and how cool of a sport it was, he also told her about his supportive teammates. however, when he mentioned bokuto, y/n's expression changed. she huffed and pulled the blanket over her chest.

"he's too energetic, like how-?"
akaashi chuckled and shook his head as he pulled another blanket over her to keep her warm. the action made her smile and mumble a small thank you.

"that's how bokuto-san is, but he's a really good guy. he can be a handful sometimes, sorry, all the time, but he's the best person you could ever meet."
y/n didn't know bokuto at all, she just met him and stayed with him for an hour or more, and from what she's seen, he was just a ball of energy with a little mix of drama. but akaashi seemed to love him, maybe she'll learn to do the same as well.
