Regular TWs : [Fluff]

You had arrived at the beach a few days ago, and you had been welcomed with ease by pretty much everyone. Quickly befriending a girl named Kuina, who had been the first one to come to talk to you and show you around. Today and since you both had a few days left on your visas, she offered you to spend the day at the pool, wandering around, bathing, hanging out together, and eating ice cream.

But oh, how surprised you were when you opened the door of your bedroom to see that Kuina was not alone. Next to her was standing a -how could you describe him ?- more than a charming guy, whose mysterious look immediately caught your attention. He had mid-length gray hair and very deep brown eyes.
He looked a bit mischievous but -oh boy- how could such an incredible man stand right there in front of you? He probably was the most handsome man you had ever seen. Sure, perhaps his hair needed a little care, but he was gorgeous nonetheless...
Your mouth had gone dry, spending a couple of seconds more looking at him, before Kuina interrupted you. She had obviously noticed the look you were giving him. But the guy, on the other hand, seemed totally unperturbed.

Kuina started talking:
━ Hey Y/N ! Are you okay?
You picked yourself up and looked back at her, trying to hide your embarrassment.
━ Oh! Hi Kuina! Y-yeah I'm good, you didn't tell me there would be someone else with us...
━ I'm sorry... Chishiya kind of chimed in at the last minute! Does that bother you ?

The boy stayed silent – but now at least you knew his name.
You didn't mind that he came with you, not at all, to be honest. And in the back of your mind, you were already making up every possible scenario to get you closer to him.

━ No, not at all. You smiled, not adding anything.
━ Amazing then ! She smiled back, putting her hand on your shoulder. So, Y/N this is Chishiya, Chishiya, this is Y/N.

Chishiya simply nodded his head. You quietly smiled at him, but you could feel your cheeks turning red.

Since you both stayed silent, things started to become slightly awkward, so Kuina suggested to start walking toward the outdoor pool.

As you three were heading out, you tried to take quick glances at the man who intrigued you. You didn't really get why he was being so cold, although you assumed that this behavior might just be a part of his personality.

It only took you three a couple of minutes to reach the pool. The day was specifically hot - summer in Tokyo was nice as always, even in the Borderlands. You and Kuina took your clothes off, with the idea of going for a swim. Chishiya, on the other hand, just sat down by the pool, only dipping his legs in the lukewarm water.

You looked at your friend with a confused face, discreetly signaling Chishiya, who seemed completely bored.

She laughed a little bit.

— It's okay, that's just the way he is.
— What do you mean?
— He's a loner, and I don't think you'll ever convince him to swim with us.
— Hah! Are you sure about that?
—Absolutely! I've never seen him bathing in this pool since I've known him

I smiled. I was wondering if their friendship was a recent thing.
—Did you two meet here? I asked

I saw him turn his face toward us and look at me. His gaze upon my body made me feel shy, but I somehow liked it. I tried to show no emotions, as I was waiting for Kuina's answer.

—We did, I couldn't tell you how long it's been because... Well, I don't even know for how long we've been stuck in this place. She sighed, a little sadness in her eyes.
You put your hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
—We'll be back in the real world soon, Kui' I promise. We just have to collect all the cards we're missing. And the Hatter's here to help us.

Kuina looked a bit surprised by your words. A second later, you heard someone laughing. It was Chishiya.
—What? you asked, slightly annoyed.

—Do you seriously think you can trust the Hatter, huh? He asked, sarcastically. His tone reflected his haughty attitude. Something that you would've normally hated to see in a person. But you weirdly liked it on him.

—Well- eh.. I mean... that's why we're all here at the beach, am I wrong?
—In theoretical terms, yes, in reality, much less so. He simply stated.
—Stop scaring Y/N, she literally just arrived three days ago!

A smile plastered on his face, he replied
—I'm not trying to scare her, but she should at least know the truth.
—Whatever Chishiya, we're here to have fun today, we'll talk about that later.

He shrugged and looked away. You stayed here standing, a bit confused, as Kuina entered the pool.
You told yourself you'll ask him about what he knows later on. This guy surely has some information that you'd better not miss out on.
You followed Kuina into the water. It wasn't cold, but the feeling was liberating. You submerged your whole body into the water and felt surprised to be able to feel a bit relaxed. It had been days, maybe weeks, and you couldn't recall everything exactly.
The Borderlands were messing with your brain, feelings, and memory. When you felt it was necessary to breathe again, you stuck your head out of the water. Everything, everyone you had known here had died. Kuina was the only person you could consider your friend, and now, maybe Chishiya could be one too.

A couple of hours later, people started to come back from the games, and the pool and the terrace began to fill with people. You had spent the whole afternoon talking with Kuina and Chishiya and the three of you had become quite close to each other. At some point, seeing how many people were arriving, you all knew the usual night party was about to take place, once again, so you decided to leave the pool.

Back in the lobby, Kuina yawned loudly and said:
—Guys, I think I'm going to go back to my room! I'm exhausted and I need to rest for the next game.

Obviously, her reaction was understandable, so you both wished her a good night. As soon as she left, the tension between you and Chishiya returned. You were about to leave too when he took your arm. You widened your eyes, looking at his hand on your forearm.

—Y/N.. would you like to get some ice cream with me?
You smiled shyly and replied
—Of course, that sounds like an amazing idea!

You were more than happy to spend some time alone with him, maybe this was your chance to get closer to him. He kept holding your arm as you both were walking towards one of the food trucks outside. You enjoyed the physical contact more than you would ever admit.
And he did too.

As you arrived, he looked at you
—What's your favorite flavor?
You smiled at the question and instantly told him what was your favorite ice cream, he ordered for the both of us. He chose a basic chocolate ice cream.

—I heard that they supposedly taste really good, he said while you both were walking to find a place to sit, away from the crowd.
—Definitely, you agreed after taking your first bite.
—I'm glad you like it, He said with kindness

As you both ate your desserts, you continued to talk and joke with each other. It was clear to see that you were really enjoying each other's company.

—You know, I had a great time today, you said as you were finishing your cone.

He looked at you intensely

—Me too, he replied. ''We should definitely do this again sometime, he added, almost whispering

You drew your face closer to his
—I'd be more than happy to do so
He looked at you with tenderness before placing a quick kiss on your cheek. You felt yourself blushing a lot. He smirked as he saw your cheeks becoming red.

Around midnight, Chishiya walked you back to your room. Somehow, he was already planning your next date, although he wouldn't admit that he had something for you. Not now, not so quickly.
But you both knew that this was the start of something special.
