Regular TWs : [Fluff]
The first time he spotted you, you were sitting on a sofa that was in one of the rooms at the hotel. Back against a cushion and legs crossed, you had a sketchbook placed on your thigh and were drawing some comforting elements that made you think about the old world you used to live in. Like your pet, back at home, or even your comfort character. Basically, anything that could help you relax whenever you were not preparing for a game.
Unaware to you, someone was watching.
He was watching you sketching quickly, focused solely on the pen and the lines you were tracing. The room was calm, most people were either playing games, or else they stayed outside, enjoying the pool and the fake luxury. You were missing your friends, a lot. Because you had entered the borderlands alone, you had to manage yourself without the help of anyone you had known before. And that meant that you had to learn useful skills in order to survive. Hopefully, you had met some talented people that helped you survive the games.
Behind you was discreetly standing one of them right now. Tatakora Samura, or, said otherwise, Last boss. As soon as he saw you drawing, he paused his movements. Looking at you, he wanted to come and sit next to you to better observe your drawings but he didn't want to startle you, you seemed to be too focused on your work. So, he simply sneaked behind you, as stealthy as a shadow. The slightest sound could have distracted you, and he would never have wanted that.
A few moments later, you put your pencil and sketchbook on the table in front of you to stretch and massage your neck.
Your movements slightly surprised him, but he tried his best to remain silent and unseen. Unfortunately, you noticed his presence behind you soon after. You had started to get thirsty, so you had gotten up with the idea to head to one of the dining rooms before coming back with some tea and continuing your work.
But as you turned around, you were met with the tattooed man, whose facial expression was impossible for you to read. You gasped out of fear, surprised to see him standing right there in front of you, not moving an inch. A little tense, you put your hand behind your neck and scratched slightly, feeling embarrassed.
This man had always frightened you a little, but he also attracted you, strangely enough. Furthermore, you never knew how to react in order to avoid upsetting him.— You make nice drawings, he muttered, almost whispering.
You smiled nervously, stuttering when you replied
—Ehm.. T-Thanks.. I guess?
''Oh wow, I sound like a mess'' You thought to yourself.. thinking that you looked so insecure in front of him. He didn't add anything else but simply came up to you, slowly. You backed away and couldn't hide the fact that you were a little bit afraid. You watched him as he crouched next to the coffee table and bent his head over your drawing, carefully observing it. You were starting to calm down, but the strange feeling in your stomach -a mixture of curiosity, attraction, and fear- would not go away.
He put his hand on the table and then, with a furtive gesture, he grabbed the pencil that was beside the sketchbook. He didn't say anything but started drawing a background decor for your drawing, which was your pet, while you continued to look at him, amazed by the ease with which he seemed to use the pencil.
Everything seemed extremely natural for him, but you would never have thought that he was artistic by nature, except for his tattoos, he didn't seem like a guy who was interested in art. As he continued the drawing, you could see that your pet was now in the middle of a forest, between some perfectly drawn fir trees.
You didn't know what to do or what to say. You had seen him many times in the hotel and by now, you knew each other and you both had exchanged many, many glances, you even winked at him once. But you also knew that talking to him when you were alone wasn't the best thing to do but at this exact moment, squatting in front of the table, his head bent over an adorable drawing, Last Boss looked so kind and vulnerable. Glancing up at him again, you felt your heart leap in your chest as your eyes met. You smiled awkwardly, looking back down at the drawing before you broke the silence.
—I didn't know you were so talented..., you said, admiring his work once again.
He kept looking at you, which made you feel a little flustered. He straightened his posture without getting up and replied:
—You are flattering me, but you're not so bad yourself.
You could see a smile forming on the corner of his lips and started to really feel more at ease with him. He gestured to the empty sofa you were sitting on before.
—Come sit down, I'll show you some techniques, he told you, approaching you a little and placing his hand on one of your thighs. You barely jumped in surprise, since you weren't expecting this sudden contact. In order to feel more comfortable and look less awkward, you started talking, asking him a couple of questions, while he was explaining to you how to improve your perspective drawing.
—How long have you been drawing?
He marked a pause, most likely thinking about it:
—Since I was a child, it was an escape for me. But no one from the real world knows. You thought that the answer was a bit sad, and decided to cheer him up:
—But now I do, so we can draw together sometimes, you replied. You saw him smile, but he went back to his explanations:
—Look at the rock that I drew right there, I could make 2 or 3 more lines from the same vanishing point, that'd allow me to add more details. You listened carefully, enjoying every touch of your hands and the gentle voice with which he taught you all these things. Although he was someone who hardly ever sat, he ended up sitting next to you on the sofa. You had never been so close, and you had to admit that you liked it a lot. You felt a growing feeling of excitement in your chest, thinking about the turn of events.
You ended up making new drawings, and he guided you to draw a mountain landscape. When you were about to finish, he paused your movements, putting his hand on yours. You raised your head to look at him and your eyes met.
—Today has probably been one of the best days of my life, thank you for that Y/N.
You smiled widely and blushed as you were very deeply hit by his words
He added, his gaze still locked into yours :
—I haven't drawn in a long time, and thanks to you I've been able to.He put a strand of your hair behind your ear and brushed your cheek with his hand.
May I kiss you? He askedYou were totally taken aback by the question, but the tension between the both of you made it impossible to refuse. Being completely honest with yourself, you wanted that too.
You gently nodded your head, leaning forward and pressing your lips to his, kissing him gently before he deepened the kiss, tilting his head. The kiss was tender and soft, and you wondered if it was his first kiss. His hands found your waist, and he drew your body against his own. A couple of seconds later, you broke the kiss just to see him smile naively.—I'm so glad I found someone like you here, he whispered into your ear before burying his head in your neck and holding you close.
One thing is for sure, he was never going to scare you again. Deep down, he was a little angel.
