"Illyana bring it on." Athena smirked positioning herself, forming an electrical current within her fingertips. Her gloves lay discarded on the ground, as well as her headphones, Athena too focused on training.

Since the group had seen the new girl being brought in, it was never mentioned again. It had been two days and Reyes still hasn't mentioned anything. The boys didn't care, but Athena couldn't help remain a little curious.

Illyana had turned around, her sword gripped tightly, "Alright sleeping beauty." Her Russian accent was thick, "Bring it on." She charged towards Athena who had manipulated the energy into a sword blocking Illyana's.

The pair fought back and forth till they had separated giving Athena enough time to form a ball of electricity throwing it towards the ground near Illyana sending shock waves through the ground bringing Illyana to her knees. Athena laughed loudly approaching Illyana offering her a hand.

"Too slow." Athena cooed, Illyana dragging her leg across the ground sending Athena to the ground roughly.

"Not bad Athena." Illyana offered a hand smirking victoriously Athena begrudgingly taking it. "Not bad for a child." Illyana shrugged walking beside Athena back to the building.

"Illyana you are literally only a year older than me." Athena exaggerated splitting off from Illyana, heading towards the dome grabbing her belongings. Athena had been studying the dome for months now, documenting everything and she believed she was close to breaking it within the next couple weeks.

Athena dropped her stuff removing her hoodie leaving a thin strapped singlet. She approached the boundary cautiously running her palms together. She reached out connecting her right hand with the boundary rippling across the surface.

After a few deep breaths in Athena begun placing both her hands on the yellow current. Electricity begun to spark off of her hands affecting the boundary, Athena continued to connect her energy straining as the dome drained her. Just as Athena had felt a small hole open in the force field, her powers rebounded electrocuting her arms.

"F*ck." Athena cursed disconnecting her hands falling back onto the grass exhausted breathing heavily.

"Still haven't figured it out?" Roberto leant against the tree with her notebook clearly disappointed.

"What does it look like." Athena sighed pulling her body off the grass standing up dizzily Roberto quickly steadying her. Athena took a breath before letting go of Roberto's arm thanking him.

"Why don't you use the electrons from my power?" Roberto suggested touching the force field with his fingers, "I mean with enough heat it could break couldnt it?" Roberto pondered standing back.

"I don't know if I have the energy left Berto but we can try." Athena agreed, placing one hand on the forcefield the other on Roberto.

"What about the cameras?" Roberto straightened up, removing his hand.

"They're disabled for an hour, we have about 13 minutes till Reyes notices they're repeating." Athena snickered, placing her hand over Roberto's once again.

Suddenly, the electricity formed again attacking the forcefield, Athena receiving energy from Roberto this time the hole in the forcefield growing bigger.

"Holy sh*t!" Roberto's eyes grew wide as Athena continued channel the energy groaning painfully.

"Berto! I need you to light up." Athena gritted through her teeth, the gap faltering.

"I can't Thena, I'll hurt you." Roberto defended shocked, refusing to. The girl insisted Roberto instructing Athena to shut her eyes as he shrugged his shorts and shirt off.

Suddenly Athena cried out, Roberto obeying lighting up the electricity sparking across Athena's frame as more energy opened the hole. However, moments later the energy rebounded sending both teens flying back onto the grass.

Roberto was the first to spring up, yelling excitedly at the break through they had just made. He continued until he realised Athena was still laying flat on the grass her eyes slowly shutting.

"Oh sh*t!" Roberto leant over her, "Athena don't fall asleep! Reyes is going to question it." Roberto groaned Athena's eyes fluttered shut, the girl asleep soundly.

Roberto stood up distressed when he spotted Sam in the distance completing his training. Not long after Roberto had dragged Sam over to the girl.

"Did you try to wake her up?" Sam questioned dumbfounded standing over Athena.

"Well obviously! But she's out like a light man what am I supposed to do." Roberto ran his hands through his hair stressfully.

Sam had never been so thankful that he had gotten his cast removed a day before. He let out a frustrated sigh collecting Athena's gloves instinctively.

"I better not kill anyone." Sam stood back up approaching the sleeping girl. He shook his shoulders tensely reaching down to pick up Athena, "Laters Berto." Sam blasted across the courtyard eventually landing outside of Athena's room almost stumbling back in exhaustion.

Sam quickly swung his leg to slide Athena's door open placing her down on her bed wearily. Athena's room was messy as usual, books and pages scattered along the floor. Sam couldn't help himself quickly tidying the girl's room.

Sam grew up the oldest child meaning he was used to cleaning up after others. His father was always working in the mines meaning Sam had to help his mother. This stopped of course when Sam was forced to begin work in the mines.

He sighed in a relief when the room was tidy, her books stacked neatly in a pile and her other belongings neat. Sam turned to leave stopping when he noticed he had forgot to put her gloves on, electric currents circling her wrists.

He bent down painfully, his body aching from the pain he had just inflicted during his training. He focused as he slid the gloves onto Athena's hands gently. Sam smiled at the sleeping girl before taking his leave, wishing he was beside her.
