"My father was a hero, but I fell in love with a villain. The only difference between a hero and a villain, is that the hero would sacrifice you to save the world, whereas the villain would sacrifice the world to save you"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ayla woke up in her hammock. A streak of sunlight shone on her face as she squinted. She yawned and stretched, deciding whether she wanted to get up or not; this was Neverland after all, it's not like she had anywhere to be. Yet she knew she wasn't going to fall back asleep. Might as well get up then. She thought. Her eyes focused on the little mushroom clock she had in her room: it was 8:30 am; she could go hunting, or explore the islands.

Time went slower here than on earth, but Ayla still had a lot of time to herself since her father, Peter Pan, died and her mother remained on earth. Peter Pan and Hook died at each other's throats, but despite that Ayla had still decided to remain in Neverland. At least here she could be free forever. Plus, she had promised her father before his death that she would kill anyone that had any connection with Hook; she had a duty to fulfil.

It's been 3 years since her father died; neverland has been oddly quiet since. She's learned to live with the loss, but she still blames him for being so reckless. She looked to her left; Tinkerbell was still sleeping. Fairies are immortal, and loyal to the owner's family; that's why Tink remained with Ayla, even after Peter Pan died. Ayla was glad to have at least one friend with her; all of the Lost Boys chose to live on Earth. Idiots. Here they could do anything; Neverland had no rules, no limits. Well that's in the past. She couldn't blame them for leaving Neverland if they were unhappy here.

As she snapped back to reality, she made the decision of flying around the island, scouting for anything abnormal. She had nothing better to do, so she did it for fun.

She crawled out of her cave room, scraping her knees on the craggy rock and pushing aside any debris that fell into the opening during the night, it wasn't much but it was home. After taking off, she admired the beautiful rising sun as a cool morning breeze tickled her face. This was her usual morning flight. She had no worries, no duties, no nothing. She was happy. But some part of her was telling her that something from her life was missing. She just didn't know what.

She flew over several islands, most of which she'd already explored; she came back to them occasionally for food. The different species of trees gave her all she needed. In addition to that she also hunted every once in a while, more for fun than for food, she enjoyed the hunt, it was thrilling so to say. There were other inhabitants in Neverland, none of which Ayla talked to, ever since the death of her dad, and the leave of the lost boys, she's been keeping to herself. It was better that way.

Most of her days went by like this. She was just flying, or fishing, or hunting, or doing some other activity to keep herself busy. Her favourite activity was to explore the islands and oceans for treasure, just the thrill of that gave her exhilaration. Many of her ancestors hid their riches during the Great War, that way they were not found by the enemy. The Great War happened over a century ago when pirates tried to take over Neverland. The inhabitants of Neverland buried their riches and fought back, to prevent the pirates from taking over their land and belongings. Sadly many died during those dark times, both pirates and Neverland natives, that is why today's Neverland is almost empty. Most of the flora and fauna was restored but as you fly farther some areas still stay in ashes from the flames of war. And only now people found out about the treasures and started to actively look for them. One Ayla promised to stay away from is the Mirror of Euris. Created by a witch in hope of saving the war by granting wishes, this did save most of Neverland's inhabitants since they had very little defence and most of them had already been killed. She ordered the mirror to exterminate every pirate with not a single drop of purity in their soul, which wiped out most of them, enough for them to retreat and never turn back. The witch then chose the purest soul in Neverland to take care of the mirror and hide it. She chose Peter Pan, and along with that, she gave him his flight so that he would get a chance to restore Neverland before she died. So he hid it, and only told his daughter the location of it in case she ever needed it. But Ayla was always afraid it would fall into the wrong hands, that's why she never bothered to go get the mirror.

Either way, she still found precious things such as small handmade dolls, tablecloths, decorations, some gold, today she wasn't as lucky though no new findings, before she knew it, it was already nightfall. She quickly soared past the oceans and back into her home. Top of a small mountain, inside a cave with some lighting, perfect for her.

"Hey Tink" she happily said after she saw that Tinkerbell was rearranging some flowers. Cheerful bell chimes were the response Ayla got.

"I'll just be off to bed, you do whatever you want" Alya yawned

Tink just nodded and turned off the light.

"Thanks Tink" smiled Ayla and slid under her bedsheets.

Ayla was drifting into sleep as she suddenly heard strange noises coming from the sea. This was unusual. She decided to be cautious about it and only peek out of one of her small windows, moving very slowly. She saw sails. A ship. She thought She froze as she saw a tiny detail. The black flag with the white skull hanging on the top sail. Pirates. She shivered at that thought. Then she saw another detail as she warily inspected the ship. The front of the ship had a mermaid with a horn on it. It looked familiar. Wait isn't that... She had to go and take a closer look to confirm her suspicions. She silently crawled out of the entrance to her cave and layed low under the trees, she flew in order to make no crunching noise as she walked.

She got closer, she was almost at the shore when two men walked onto the main dock, she quickly slid behind a tree. The two men were having a conversation that Ayla couldn't distinguish. Sse waited until they went back inside. As they did she seized that chance and flew as fast as she could and hid under the stone mermaid. As she observed it, she didn't want to believe it, but only one ship in history had a mermaid that had a horn. This is Captain Hook's ship. She was trembling, she didn't want to believe it. She was hiding under the ship of the most dangerous pirate of all time. But he's dead, so who's navigating the ship? She quickly flew to look inside the window as discreetly as she could and there was a whole crew in that room just chatting, it seemed like they were having a good time. Suddenly a door opened and the room got silent fast.

"Alright ye maties" a dominant voice spoke "I, present to you our newest mission ever, retrieve the treasure of Euris, and as a bonus, complete my father's legacy" he paused "and kill Peter Pan's offspring!" he said louder, everyone cheered as he finished his exposition. Ayla's blood froze, to the point where she just stopped floating as her head spinned and she almost fell into the water. Luckily she managed to stop herself as one of her hands barely touched the water. She got the answer to her question. Hook's son. He was navigating this ship. Shivers ran down Ayla's spine. The son of the deadliest pirate was here. Ayla imagined that the son was mentored by the father. I have to fight him. She was scared but excited at the same time. It's been a while since she had a challenge of this level. She quickly darted back to her cave, she saw that Tink was already asleep. Ayla decided that she would face him tomorrow at sunrise. She bit her lip out of stress, but then quickly stopped herself. She presumed that his ship would still be here since they would have to somehow find clues in order to lead them to the treasure. She went into her chest, swiped some stuff aside and got out her sword. The blade, as well as the golden handle shone with all its beauty. Her father's sword was truly one of a kind

"Good as new" she told herself and smiled. She then closed the chest and set the sword on the lid in order to just snatch it tomorrow and fly away, she then tucked herself into bed, but she had trouble falling asleep, knowing what was waiting for her tomorrow. She thought over all of the best tactics to fight the opponent. She also had a legacy to finish, same as Hook. And she had to stop him from getting the mirror of Euris. Although, it seemed like the crew or Hook himself did not know what the treasure was, they were only aware of its power. Eventually as she was planning out her attack she didn't notice as she fell asleep, preparing herself with what she had to face tomorrow.

Hi fellow readers, thank you for clicking on my story and reading it, it makes me happy. As you may have seen it is a story between Ayla Pan and Harry Hook. What's different about this one is that it doesn't follow the Descendants plot. I wanted to derivate from that a little bit from that since it didn't fit the plot of my story.

Tell me if there is something you want added, or edited in the story. I was thinking of adding a casting for the story at the beginning. Maybe I will do it if the story gets more reads ^^

~~ Stay amazing <3~~
