It was Friday when I thought about showing up in the library again. I let out 3 mornings and 3 afternoons. I wasn't sure that Rebekah won't report it to the principal, but I didn't give a single fuck about it. The last thing I wanted was to meet her. It sucked enough to run into her in classes, let alone pass her with a car on her way home. Surprisingly the coach didn't ask anything when I showed up for training instead of the library. I was sure he wouldn't let me train and if I would push it, he would ask questions. And I for sure didn't want that.
After the practice was over and all my friends left the building I was the only one who stayed in the empty room. Until the coach checked in and saw me.
"Hayes! I can't let you practice."
"I know." I shrugged while punching the bag that hung from the ceiling. My push was so weak that it barely moved.
"But I'm leaving. Now. Leaving you here alone. Just saying." His lips curled into a smile.
"I got it." I nodded with a hidden smile. He nodded too before leaving me alone.
I had my stuff in my closet. And I had my key. And I wanted to practice so badly, so I turned around to the left to get my bag.
I didn't know how many hours had passed. Probably one or a bit more. The cleaners would get me if it would be much later. Sweat covered my body, my breath was quick and my heart raced. My whole body ached from the lots of moving I did. The only thing I heard was the blood pumping in my ear, my rapid breathing and the sound of my fist hitting the punching bag times and times again.
I almost screamed when I saw something move in the corner of my eye. I turned my head in the direction quickly, noticing the blonde figure watching me. When did she get here?
I stopped, catching the bag and stopping it's swaying. I tried to catch my breath while looking at her, trying to figure out what is going to happen exactly. She had every right to yell at me and it was the same on my side.
"You missed out a couple of days." She broke the silence when she noticed I won't say anything.
"Well...The last thing I wanna do Rebekah," She was standing next to my bag so I walked there while undoing my gloves."Is spending time with you in that stupid library."
I didn't stop in front of her, just grabbed my bag and walked to the locker room. My training clothes stuck to my body because of the sweat. I heard her walking after me, but I didn't turn to look at her.
"You are forced to be there. You can't just leave and go to practice instead. It loses all the purpose." My bag hit the floor as I took a few things out of my locker. Towel, clean clothes, shampoo...
"Leave Rebekha!" I did not comment on her statement. It was true, but I did not give a fuck.
"No. You are not following the rules and...Wha-" The words stuck to her throat when I pulled my shirt off leaving me in my sports bra and in my shorts. "What are you doing?" Her voice pitched and it made me filled with pride. I pressed the smile that wanted to come out so badly. I stayed emotionless, like her burning eyes did not make me feel anything.
Dyke, dyke, dyke.
Her words stung, helped me get back to the reality of her. How cruel she was.
"I'm taking a shower."
"Now?"
"Yes. So leave. Or stay. I don't care." Actually, my heart beated fast. When I planned this I expected her to run out, but now I wasn't so sure that I wanted to strip down my clothes in front of her. My skin itched and I didn't miss the way her eyes lingered on my breasts.
