What was this game? Were you a murderer? What happened? What were you going to do? 9 days? Until what? You had to play again?
Even thinking of what this place was and what it meant to be here seemed to drain everything out of you. You were overwhelmed and in general confused.
It seemed surreal. Like something from a video game. Like you had hopped into an arcade game to never be seen again.
You needed information, information a single game couldn't provide for you. You were exhausted and didn't know where to go when you remembered something.
Your dads bookstore.
The building where you played was close to it. You walked along the streets as you found the beloved store. The place you spent most of your time whenever you could. The place that held no negativity whatsoever in your heart.
The familiar scent hit you as you took the spare key from the secret spot your dad always put it and opened the store doors. Walking over to the back of the store you sat down on the mattress your dad had laid for you back during the time when you were in high school.
"You can always sleep here whenever you're tired, sweetheart."
You missed his voice. It hadn't even been 24 hours since you arrived in this sickening place but you were terribly homesick. It was as if you were home but not .. well.. home. Not with the people who made it home.
All those people. All those people had died because of you. Because you were the snake all those people died.
The mask you had been putting up finally started to crack and you felt tears run down your cheeks. You were scared, you were really scared. You missed Hina and dad, you really just wanted to go home.
No lights worked and after the game the darkness seemed to be as terrifying as how it was when you were a child. It felt as though you were a child again.
This was a new world and it felt you were weaponless, an astronaut landing on a planet which was intoxicated and full of things they did not understand. Bad things. Toxic, all over.
You remembered the faces of the two survivors when your phone buzzed. The look in the young girls eyes as a tear fell down her cheek and the mans face when he realized he was going to die.
If you had sacrificed yourself none of this would have happened. Still looking at the card you felt it got wet because of your tears. Your tears felt warm, against your lips. But not even your own salty tears could comfort you now.
You decided to put the card in your bra for safety measures in case it was important. They wouldn't have given something without reason. Whoever it was that made these games.
Hugging your legs, you cried yourself to sleep.

"Hey what would you ever do if the earth got invaded by aliens?" Hina asked putting her head on your shoulder while the two of you studied. Well, as you tried studying and Hina provided mental support.
"Dont be ridiculous." You smiled.
"I know you would survive." You just laughed at that. You couldn't possibly survive an alien invasion. If they were dumb maybe but most aliens weren't you thought. Most aliens were probably way smarter than us humans.
"I mean it! You'd probably outsmart them, then manipulate them to write you a million new books and then have them write their opinion on emotions and then buttkick them out of earth!" You looked at her and the two of you just burst out laughing.
