Arriving at the beach the both of you gave your cards to Aguni since he said he was off to see Hatter anyway. It was weirdly kind of him, but you didn't mind.
Walking to the lobby of the beach, your dear friend Kuina came running the minute she laid her eyes on the both of you.
"I've been waiting for ages! What took you guys so long?!" She yelled, loud enough that the whole hotel could hear. Pulling you into a bear hug that made you think you'd probably die from not being able to breath.
"Somebody got caught up after the game." You looked at the blonde in an obvious glare.
It wasn't exactly fun standing there waiting for his ass to waddle down the building so you could finally leave.
"It was only a few minutes." He answered in a 'I couldn't care less' manner. All he needed was hot pink nails and to show them off and he'd have that demeanor down.
"But, we did meet very interesting people in our game." He continued. Its not like he was wrong, it'd been a long time since you had seen such a sight. Arisu and the climber woman were the two that stuck out to you the most. They weren't complete airheads like most players. Far beyond that, actually.
While you had thought Arisu was well... confused without him who knows if you would've cleared the game. A team player.
And as for the climber woman, she was impressive from the very beginning. Not being frightened to answer the male and actually work together. The way she prepared for the game and how monotone she was, was already impressive as it is.
You had an inkling feeling that that game wasn't going to be your last encounter with the two.
"You did?" Kuina tilted her head with her fake cigarette dangling at the ends of her lips.
"Yeah, we really did."

Suddenly waking up in cold sweat you gasped for air. It felt as though you could hear your heartbeat on maximum volume.
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath in order to try to calm yourself.
Looking out of the window, you saw the laser filled view still quite visible. It was still dark and probably still really late yet you couldn't go back to sleep, you just couldn't.
The night of the accident always came to haunt you in your dreams and tonight your dreams were corrupted once more.
You had woken up in cold sweat, your hair in a mess and with a speedy heartbeat. Just how were you supposed to go to sleep after that? Now you were wide awake and the last thing on your mind was sleep.
Yet looking out of your window lasers coming down here and there were still visible so it really was way too early to wake up wasn't it? Had you slept at all?
After you and Chishiya had gotten back from the game and talked with Kuina, you decided to head straight to bed. Usually you would've done something else first but you were tired and had no energy for anything. Finally getting to your bed you dozed off not even five minutes later.
But here you were, wide awake. Probably not even an hour later.
You groaned as you got up, rubbing your eyes open. Getting up from the warm covers to now feel the cool night breeze gave you goosebumps, why was the aftermath of waking up always so painful? Picking up a jacket you headed out of your room.
