"Why're you still here?" The voice that approached
me from behind was of Shuntaro's, who had one eye squinted and was shaking his wet brunette hair with his hands, a completely soaked backpack leaving a trail of water drops behind him in the other hand.

"The hell happened to you?" I asked looking him up and down.

He also looked down at his backpack and then to the hallway window that showed his reflection.

"Funny story, I .. fell asleep on the rooftop?" He tried to explain, pushing his hair out of his face with his spare hand so he could see better.

"And you didn't feel the rain until you got soaked?" I raised my eyebrow.

He looked down at the floor and from what I could see, possibly smiled and then looked back up at me.

"So, why're you still here?" He asked again, looking outside at the now cleared rain and then at me, who still had her slippers on, my normal sneakers still in one of the lockers by the entrance.

His lashes were all wet and, even with how long and luscious they were, getting soaked in rain didn't seem like the ideal situation to be in for them.

His uniform was no different, soaked from head to toe and almost, almost as if I was imagining, I could see him slightly shivering from the cold breeze.

"Well, I was waiting for Hina but I think she isn't coming back any time soon so.." I replied to his question, trailing off in thought.

I already know Shuntaro for at least around a year, it wouldn't be weird if I offered him spare clothing at my place, right?

Looking at him and his lips and the rest of his body shaking, the longer he stays in cold wet clothes the higher the chances that he catches a cold!

So.. it definitely wouldn't be weird, right?

Even with how he's trying to look like he's alright, his face is paler than usual, lips blue, his clutch on his bag tightening and the shaking he's trying to hide is becoming more and more evident.

"Come with me." I told him and with that, I took his ice cold hand and we stormed out of the school, leaving my sneakers and my bag behind.

He didn't say anything for a good while, he didn't ask where we were going or what I was doing, but I didn't really think he had the capacity to. Even with his hands intertwined with mine he was shaking and it was only worsening!

Thankfully, my dads book store and well, our home was close to the school so getting there wasn't that big of a problem.

Every few minutes I looked back at him to check if he was going to get such a high fever that he was going to faint and at some point I suggested sitting down but he ensured me he was okay and we should keep going.

Stopping him just a few miles from the bookstore, I checked his forehead which was without surprise burning up. With that information in mind, I tried to walk quicker but at the same time at a pace he could handle, until we finally reached the bookstore.

By the time we got there my socks and slippers were soaked from the puddles and the wet pavement we had walked on and Shuntaro wasn't looking any better, if anything, he was looking worse.

"Oh honey you're back!" My dad looked over from the register with a pile of books on the register that were basically hiding him from view.

He carefully fixed his glasses before seeing the boy behind me clearer and well, I don't really think Shuntaro was listening to either of us.
