The beach was an interesting place, with interesting rules. It was located at a hotel.
As Ann got you situated at the beach she explained how she'd have a talk with Hatter about you. She smiled and handed you your room keys before leaving.
Walking in the room you saw 4 different bikinis laid out.
Ann had explained how it was necessary to have a bikini on at all time which seemed stupid to you but you weren't going to argue. Before picking what to wear you decided to go ahead and shower.
You smelled like blood and that only reminded you of your previous game. Of their faces, and how you killed them. You really needed to move on from your first game but for some reason you just couldn't. It was always there, at the back of your mind.
You hopped in the shower hoping the warm water would lessen the guilt.
The warm water felt nice on your skin, this place truly felt like hope. You were grateful Ann had brought you here. And you were grateful she had explained everything on the way here so you wouldn't miss anything and mess up.
Getting out of the shower you looked at the four swimsuits, honestly not caring that much that you had to wear a bikini since wearing a jacket was still possible over a swimsuit. You picked one out that suited you most and you put a flowy jacket over the swimsuit.
You were too tired to look around but you could use a drink to just forget, even for a little while. Forget you were in a terrifying reality of what you once knew as Tokyo.
Ann had told you there was a bar and a cafeteria, but the cafeteria was closed by now so you decided to visit the bar.
Walking and observing you saw people partying, dancing, having sex, doing drugs and all of the above. Having the conscience of dying tomorrow really was something wasn't it?
Live while you still can.
Walking towards the party you spotted the bar, it was right in the center. It was the typical bar you'd see at a high end resort.
You sat down waiting for the bartender to give you the time of day.
"Why hello! what can I do for a pretty lady like yourself?" The man asked, you forced a smile and leaned your head on your hand.
"One Negroni please." The bartender nodded and got to work, soon after talking again.
"Are you new? I haven't seen you around here before." You looked at the tall man and smiled.
"Yeah, I just got here." You didn't want to add that Ann had brought you, just in case. The male seemed pretty nice not so much like a creep as you initially thought.
"Oh! Ive also only been here for a few days, how long have you been in the borderlands?" He asked with a smile, finishing your drink and putting it on the table.
The bar was almost empty, everyone was on the dance floor so having a little chit-chat was very much on the menu for this guy and well, for you as well.
You drank the drink and answered; "this is only my second day here." He looked surprised as if newcomers didnt really get invited here so often.
You chatted with the bartender a little more to find out his name was Daichi. He had been a bartender in the real world, thus why he began working here as a bartender. He said working here also gave him a few more privileges than just dancing and having fun.
You waved your goodbyes to your newfound friend as you went upstairs to finally sleep. You hadn't slept in a bed yesterday and hotel beds were heavenly. Laying on what felt like a million clouds you drifted off to dream world.
