I put my head in my hands as I was sitting with Charlotte, Zak and my trainer in the hospitality. I was getting worried about the story they were gonna publish about us. I promised Skye I would figure something out but I was stuck. "What are you thinking about?" Charlotte nudged me playfully. "The story they gonna publish" she nodded she understood what I was trying to say. "I know it's media day but I really don't wanna talk to them" I sighed. They wanted to bring out a private story but I still needed to be nice to them, I just couldn't. "Then we don't talk to them" Zak quickly said. We all looked at him confused. "We don't?" I actually didn't know that was an option. "If they wanna publish something like that, then Mclaren isn't going to talk to them anymore" he quickly grabbed his phone and started to type something. "Let's go Lando" he said as he got up. I looked at Charlotte who just shook her head. She also didn't understand what was going on.
"Where are we going exactly?" I said as Zak and I were walking through the paddock. "Here" he said as he pointed at the Red Bull hospitality. We both walked inside. I was still confused. Christian, Max and Skye were standing together, Christian immediately gestured us to come over. Why were we in the hospitality of our biggest competitor? "Hi baby" I said as I quickly kissed Skye. She looked as confused as I was. "Let's go to my office" Christian quickly said and gestured to go upstairs. We all followed him, except for Skye, she waved at us before we all left to go to Christian's office upstairs. "So we are gonna do this boycott together?" He smiled as we all sat down. Zak actually got Red Bull to support us in this. "So we are not gonna do any interviews with them anymore?" I quickly summarized the whole thing. Christian and Zak both nodded. "We are just gonna walk straight passed them in the media pen" Zak said. I was actually surprised Red Bull was gonna back us on this. I looked at Max, who was just smiling at me. He gave me a reassuring nod. I was so grateful for him, I definitely needed to thank him for supporting me through everything even though we were battling on track.
Max and I walked to the media pen together. "Thanks mate, I really appreciate it" I said as I looked at him. He was my biggest competitor and my biggest supporter at the same time. "You'd do the same thing for me" he replied as he patted my back. "And if I'm honest, the less interviews I have to do, the better" he laughed as we both walked to different journalists.
It definitely felt weird to just walk passed them especially when it was Maya who I was walking passed. I walked passed Maya, mouthing sorry but she just gave me a reassuring nod. It couldn't be easy for her either, she was stuck between her job and her boyfriend's best friend.

"So how long are you gonna ignore them?" Skye and I were sitting in the Red Bull hospitality. I hated it here, but their food was much better than in our hospitality. "As long as they wanna publish our story and if they do, then I will never do interviews with them anymore" I pushed my plate out of the way and looked at her. She had a worried look on her face. "What's wrong?" I asked her and she leaned a little closer to me. "Christian is always looking at me weird and he asked for a meeting" she probably worried too much about it. I turned around and saw Christian staring at us. Skye slapped my arm "Can you make it even more obvious" I chuckled as I put my hand on hers. "Don't worry about it too much, he'll probably give you a raise" I intertwined our fingers. I was just hoping he wouldn't fire her because she was dating me. He never had a problem with that before so why would he now?
