"So is this a fancy dinner of just a family dinner?" Lando was standing in front of his closet. I chuckled a little, he was definitely nervous about it. "Baby, you always look amazing. It doesn't matter what you're wearing" I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him from behind.
I kissed his shoulder a few times. I was happy he agreed on going with me even though he probably wasn't looking forward to it.
He grabbed a black shirt out of his closet and looked at me. "Yes that's perfectly fine" I nodded. I couldn't hide my smile, he was so cute.

A couple of hours later we arrived at my parent's house. I was holding Lando's hand and squeezed it a couple of times. I wanted him to know that everything would be perfectly fine.
My mom opened the door, she smiled as she saw us. "I am so happy to see you both again" she pulled me immediately in her arms. Not much later she hugged Lando as well.
"Come inside, dad and Sophie are in the living room" I nodded as I grabbed Lando's hand again. I don't know why but I didn't want to leave him alone.
We greeted them both and sat down next to each other on the couch. "So is your boyfriend coming as well?" I looked at Soph as I took a sip from my drink. She shook her head. "We broke up a couple of weeks ago. Turns out he was seeing someone else for the past months" she snorted a little. I felt bad for her, she really loved the guy. I couldn't imagine how she was feeling. I would die if Lando was seeing someone else.
"I am so sorry, I didn't know" she looked down but I could see how she was trying to be strong.
"It's okay. It's not like we had a child together or something" she chuckled. Lando and I both looked at each other. "Oh my God, are you pregnant?" My mom raised her voice in excitement. I quickly shook my head. "No, not at all mom" I could feel how Lando squeezed my hand a little. They didn't know about what we've been through. They didn't know what they brought up but all the memories started coming back.
"Too bad, anyways dinner is ready" she said as she pointed to the dinner table.
"Are you going on a vacation during summer break?" My mom asked us both but she was mainly looking at Lando. I was hoping he wouldn't mention his vacation with the drivers, I didn't want my parents to ask questions about why I didn't join them. "Yes, I've planned something with my friends and my brother is joining us as well" he put his hand on my thigh, I was happy about that. I really wanted to go on a vacation especially with his friends. "You should come too" he looked at Sophie, who definitely didn't expect this invitation.
"Yes it would be so much fun and it would take your mind of things" I nodded. It actually meant a lot, him inviting my sister and obviously paying for her as well. It meant that he really wanted to include my family.
"Well.. yeah I would actually love that" it was the first time this evening I saw her smile. "Thanks Lando" she said. I was definitely gonna thank him as well, in other ways.
I grabbed a couple of plates. I noticed how Lando wanted to help but I put my hand on his. "Don't worry about it baby" he sat back down. My dad looked at him, he was observing him the entire night. "Can we have a talk?" My dad looked at Lando who quickly nodded. They both got up.
I quickly grabbed Lando's arm and pulled him to me. "Don't stress about it" I reassured him, he quickly kissed my lips. "I think you're stressing more about it" he chuckled a little before he walked to my dad.
He was right, why did he wanna talk to Lando? In private?
I walked to the kitchen with the plates in my hand. "He loves you so much, it's so cute to see" my mom looked at me and Sophie nodded.
"Does he have cute friends?" Sophie nudged me laughing. I shrugged my shoulders. I never really looked at them, I only had eyes for Lando.
I was happy we would go on a vacation together. I really needed that, especially after everything that has happened.
