It felt like at torture to James, being in the same room with her and yet not able to kiss her or talk to her, he craved private time with just her, and he knew that she wanted that too but Sirius' birthday last night has kept them both busy as they both knew that Euphemia wanted to enjoy this probably last party of her with her husband and children, so they have both put extra effort into it and it was worth it.

The next day, after showering, he searched for her and found that she was still asleep, he chuckled, she was a sleepy head, it was a perfect opportunity, Marls was not in the room, and everyone was down having a late breakfast. He jumped over her and started kissing her, she woke up with a shriek but when she realized who it was she giggled and hit his arm as he continued planting kisses all over her face.

"James! your hair is still wet, dry it first, water is dripping from it," she complained, he stopped kissing and looked at her, a mischievous smirk on his face, and before Lily could realize, he has began tickling her, which resulted in both of them falling down from the bed as Lily was sleeping near the edge of the bed as she has shared it with Marls.

"Are you hurt?" she asked as she landed on him, he shook his head and kissed her.

"It's eleven Lil," he said as they both stood up and sat on the bed.

"I was awake even after the party," she yawned. "Was reading." She clasped her mouth.

James has found the book on the bed that she was reading last night. "Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie," James gasped. "Lily! we were supposed to read this together, we were halfway done, why did you ditch me?"

"It was interesting but don't worry, I have not read any further, I just reread some past pages which were interesting, though I wanted to read further but I am loyal to you. So, I didn't ditched you. We will finish it together, the only problem is we don't get time," she explained resting her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes.

"Don't go to sleep again," he said pulling her into his lap and kissing her, she giggled.

"You look hot after showering," she told him running her hands through his hair.

James grinned, "And you look irresistible in the morning, it's taking me all my effort to stop myself from pinning you on the bed and snogging you and doing things with you till we lose my sanity." Lily laughed at his comment and then looked at her reflection in the mirror across the room, she frowned, he was surely joking, her hair was all messy from the sleep and she looked horrible.

"Why are you lying, I look horrible," she complained to him, he saw she was looking at the mirror.

It was his turn to frown. "Lily, appreciate your beauty, you are not seeing yourself the way I am looking at you. You are at the present moment and at all other moments, the hottest and sexiest girl I have ever seen. This," he pointed at her reflection, "this look, I found it very cute and hot, I love it and would want to give everything to see this, to see you first every morning."

Lily couldn't stop herself from kissing him, if even after looking at her in this state hasn't dumped her and instead has said how he would like to see her every morning then he is a keeper, she knew it already and today he has given her the proof.

Lily dragged James along with her to her parent's house for Christmas Eve and they ended up spending the night there, in the hustle of wedding preparation, Rose made James promise that he will join the wedding too. On Euphemia's request, both Rose and Richard along with Petunia, who was forced by Rose, accompanied Lily and James to Potter's house where both the family had a wonderful lunch.

This was the best moment of Lily's life, she, James, her parents, and James' parents sat at the table together, enjoying the food and talking happily. Lily didn't know if they would be able to gather together again or not, so she tried to capture each moment in her brain. Luckily for her Marls has captured many pictures of the seven of them.
