"You said they showed up one day and started attacking people. But this..." she trailed off, "This is just brutal."

"These things aren't human. Plus, they're hard to take down. Shooting them is outta the question." Samael said, I nodded in agreement.

"We're lucky to be alive?" The girl continued, "the contrary, really. Cause now we'll have to deal with these things without knowing how to defeat them." Samael said.

"So...how did you both make it this far if defeating is impossible?" The girl asked.

"Even though the possibility of killing them is low. There's a trick to beating them." I told her, "Whatever you do don't look at them. They set their target through a person's gaze. If you lock eyes with one of them, they will attack you until you're 100% dead."

"So I'll be safe as long as I don't make eye contact?" She asked me, "Basically. But they're not the only ones we're up against." Samael told her.

"What's that supposed to—"

She stopped in her tracks, she was trembling and I looked at her confused, "C'mon, we better move before sun goes down." Samael said.

"Hey, did you hear him? He said—" but I was cut off by her speaking, "What is it this time?"

"My head...it won't stop throbbing." She told me, then I heard a loud stomp, "What was that?" The girl asked.

"Our cue to move." Samael answered.

We made it to Samael's house, I kicked off my shoes and flopped on the couch.

"Your place...it's really tidy." The girl said, "You got a problem with that?" Samael asked.

"Not at all! I just didn't expect it from someone like you." The girl answered causing me to chuckle, "The hell's that supposed to mean?" Samael said.

Meow~

I got up from the couch and walked over to them, "You didn't tell me you had a cat!" The girl exclaimed.

"Huh?! That's none of your business!" Samael said, she then kneeled down to the cat.

"Aww, such a cute little thing! Does it have a name?" She asked, "Orge." I answered.

"Orge? why orge?" She questioned, "that's a horrible name!"

Orge hissed, I placed a hand over my mouth and chuckled, Orge sometimes got offended.

Orge then crawled over to me and I picked him up in my arms, "C'mon Orge. Dinner time." I cooed to the cat.

Orge let out a little purr, I didn't notice him glare at the girl over my shoulder.

Samael guided the girl to her room, I really wish I knew her name...
