I sat across from Jane who was silent, eyes looking at the trees— well, what was left of them.
It's been years since he's been out. I don't know how long that man has kept him trapped in there but I promise to protect Jane with my life.
And I'll NEVER let that happen again. he's helped me, so I'm gonna help him.
"You ok?" I asked, Jane didn't answer and he let out a sigh, his hands shaking, "I am okay. Just...so happy to be out." Jane told me, looking me in the eyes.
"I just want to confirm that, whatever that man did to you, it won't happen again. you're safe with me, with my friends. With us." I said, Jane looked up at me, tears falling from his eyes.
"Really?" He asked, I nodded with a smile, "Really." I answered, then I felt arms wrap around me and pull me into a hug.
"Thank you, (Y/n)." Jane whispered in my ear, I blushed a little, "Y-You're welcome." I replied.
I saw Rayne holding a hand to her hand, I slowly pulled myself away from Jane's grasp and his eyes slowly followed my gaze.
