"(Y/n), we need to go." Jane told me, "..Why?" I questioned, I saw his pupils get smaller.
I heard rustling coming from the bushes, Kenny brought his gun out and aimed at the bushes.
"What's going on?" I asked in a whisper, Kenny just shrugged and still had his gun aimed at the bushes.
But then Jane tapped my shoulder and was looking up at something, I followed his gaze and felt a shiver run down my spine when I saw a murk looking down at us.
It then dropped down, Samael grabbed Rayne by the arm, my eyes widen when it glared at me.
"KENNY, GUN!" Samael yelled, Jane hurried over to Rayne and Samael, Samael shot at the creature but it had missed.
"Fuck!" Samael exclaimed, "What's wrong?" I asked.
"We're outta ammo!" Samael answered, that's when I heard footsteps, I saw the creatures head fall off.
"Y'all okay?" A girl asked, "Who the hell are you?" Kenny asked.
"That's rude. did your mom not teach you manners?" I turned around and saw someone really short staring at us.
"Sorry, sorry bout' that! He's a little cranky today..." the girl said, holding the boy in her arms.
"Put me down." He demanded, I saw Jane furrow his eyebrows in confusion, wondering what was happening.
"I'm Valencia! You can call me Val! This is Lio." Valencia told us, we all stood there, not saying a word.
"D-Did I say something weird? They're not reacting at all."
"They're probably taken off guard. or maybe cuz' you talk too fast."
"We were." Lio answered, me and Jane looked at each other before turning back to Lio.
"We had to make sure the people we needed help from is not a threat to us. I hope you understand." Lio said in a monotone voice.
"...fair enough." Samael said, I stood there confused, "What do you guys need help with?" Tomoha asked.
"We were suppose to be back home bout' an hour ago but...we crashed our bike. At this rate, it's gonna take forever to get back." Val answered.
"Home? Are there others?" Rayne asked, "Yeah. There are people waiting for us. That's why we're wondering if you could give us a ride." Val answered.
"...We can't help ya." Kenny said, "No offense, but yer not givin' us enough reasons to trust ya both. I'm sorry."
"What? But we-" Val was cut off by Lio shaking his head, "Val."
"We understand. Thanks anyways. C'mon, let's go." Lio said, "Wait, But Lio!" Val said.
"Kenny..." tomoha trailed off, Jane sighed, "We haveta look out for ourselves. It's better this way." Kenny said.
I watched as they both were walking away, "We have space for two more." Samael said.
"Sammie, what are ya—"
"But if you two try anything-"
Before Samael could say anything Jane cut in.
"I won't hesitate to kill you." Jane said, everyone turned to him, I swore i felt another shiver go down my spine when his eyes glared holes into Val and Lio.
"Are we clear?" Samael asked, they both nodded, "If it makes you feel any better, we'll leave our weapons under your care. It's only fair." Lio told us.
"I appreciate it." Samael said.
"Sammie, what the hell are ya thinkin'?! What if they're tryna lure us to some place shady?" Kenny asked, "I do not trust them, but think it is safe that we give them the benefit of the doubt." Jane said, Samael nodded in agreement.
"You've gotta be kiddin' me! Ya realize how much risk yer putting' us in?!" Kenny exclaimed, "Kenny...!" Tomoha said.
"I agree with Sam...we should just see how it goes and-"
Rayne couldn't finish when she saw Kenny glare at her, "For now...we'll keep our guards up." Samael said.
