"What was that about?" I questioned him as he sat down. "What do you mean?" He questioned back with a fake confused look that I could see right through. "I mean why did he react like that, he just stepped down to you like it was nothing". He waited for a moment just staring "I don't know" he finally responds after a moment. "Got it," I said, putting the conversation to a rest.
I continued to stare at the side of the boat, begging my eyes not to betray me toward Jack's... alluring physique. He was on the inside so just a quick glance between him and the boat wouldn't be noticeable, right? I tried to take a quick look but could feel myself just gawking at him. "My eyes are up here you know?" He chuckled. My face burned up as I met his eyes. "Oh, um- heh, I was just staring at the boat, you know," I quickly blurted out. "Mhm, yes of course, the boat," he replied, nodding with a knowing smile.
"Nice one" Brock's voice chimed from behind me, directed at Jack. "Hah, you know me, couldn't pass up the opportunity" he replied. Though their voices sounded content and friendly there seemed to be some sort of indifference, a tension between the two. Brock's attention turned to me and he leaned in. "Change seats with me, now," he whispered. I pulled my head back "no," I retorted. "I wasn't asking" he said, now towered over me. I scoffed, what do you expect, me to just slink back and sit away? "I'm not moving"
"Yes you are"
"I just said no"
"Move"
"No"
"I swear to god Chandler"
"I'm not going anywhere so you might as well sit your ass back down in your own seat and continue talking to Danny," I said sharply. He didn't move. I rolled my eyes and turned to Jack who was smirking at Brock, but his manner quickly changed when he saw me looking at him.
