The next half hour of the boat ride was spent in total silence. I could feel Brock practically burning a hole through the back of my head with his staring. God is it possible for someone to be this obnoxious? I tried to lighten the mood by making conversation with Jack, but he seemed advent on focusing on the boat ride all of the sudden.
We finally got to the dock and everyone filled in a line to hop off. When it was my turn to get off I noticed Brock standing in front of me with a hand offered out towards me. I ignored him and got off myself, walking towards Carol with a smile. "You didn't want him to help you up?" she questioned as soon as I caught up with her. "What does it matter? He was just being a dick the whole boat ride anyway, I don't know why he expects everything to be goody goody 10 seconds after he's weird"
"Idk kinda seems like he's into you"
"Brock is so not into me, he just thinks of girls as a game"
"Didn't look like that when he ogles you every time you even glance in Jack's direction"
"Whatever, he can do whatever he wants"
"Man he really did get under your skin" Carol muttered as we arrived at the bus.
