Hana POV-
Darkness.
I am surrounded by darkness. That's the only thing I am seeing since God knows how many days. Life can be such a bitch. One moment, you are in your cozy home waiting for your husband to return and the next you are thrown in a dark place. You open your eyes and all you see is darkness.
Well, it depends on the person too. When people are scared, they feel their demons when surrounded by darkness. They might hear some voices. Some dark eerie voices that they can't get rid of. And for those who are not scared of it, it is just a dark void. A dark void they want to escape.
I am scared though. I mean, I started to get afraid but not anymore. Not when I have my thoughts keeping me company. Not when my mind is constantly thinking of something, constantly filled with questions I don't have answers to.
I am kept in a small room, tied to a chair. There is no source of light, at least I don't know if there is any. The room is filled with light only when he enters through the door. I don't know who he is. Where I am. Who is the person who kidnapped me? What do they want from me? But the main question is, where is Jimin?
He enters the room, unties me, and gives me food and water, after I am done eating ties me to the chair and leaves the room without uttering a single word. . I was not able to see his face properly. Not until then.
He entered the room and switched on a small bulb which lit the entire room in dim yellow color. He took a chair, which I noticed was in the room for the first time, and sat in front of me. That was the first time I saw him clearly.
The very first thing that caught my attention was his face. His face had a huge scar, starting from his right eye to his jaw. That was a damn big scar that made him look like a psycho serial killer from the thriller movies. But that wasn't the only captivating thing about his face though. His eyes. He had heterochromatic eyes. One eye was pitch black. If you keep staring into them, you will feel like you are looking into a dark abyss. And one was light, so light as if it wasn't even there. His eyes and that scar were good enough to make him look like a psycho.
He was well-built and probably tall.
I continued staring at him in silence. He placed his elbow on the armrest of the chair and he too continued staring at me. One minute passed. Two-minute passed. Silence.
" You must be curious to know the reason you are here," I said nothing. He continued.
" I don't have any problem with you. My main problem is your husband. You know, he is continuously behind me and just doesn't let me do my work peacefully." He tsks and shakes his head slowly, showing disappointment.
" I mean, how irritating and frustrating it can be? I was doing my work of transferring some drugs and weapons- which people and your husband calls 'illegal'-and then this man comes and starts ruining my peaceful business. Won't you get irritated if someone is continuously on your trail when all you are doing is business?"
Transferring drugs and weapons? Is he an illegal drug smuggler? What the hell am I doing here? And what did he mean when he said that my husband is his problem?
" What are you talking about?"
Sensing the pure confusion on my face, he tilts his head and his face shows...amusement? What the hell?
" Wait wait wait. You know nothing, do you?" I am totally confused What is he talking about? Why is Jimin involved in this? What the hell is happening?
" Damn that man. He told you nothing."
" Who told me nothing? What are you saying? Just tell me!" I burst out of frustration. I want answers to my questions and the only thing he is doing is make me more confuse.
" Well, miss, looks like your husband is keeping some secrets from you." What?
" What secrets?"
" Not my place to tell." He shrugs. Asshole.
" Please tell me." I plead him. He tilts his head to the side and pretends to think.
" I'll give you a hint. Your dear husband is a very nosy person and secretive too I guess. He is hiding something important from you which is not good behavior as a husband. That secret is the reason you are in this condition. That's all I can say."
Okay. So Jimin is hiding something from me and he is the reason I am here. This is...I am confused. Whom should I trust? Jimin or this person? The very first person I think of trusting is Jimin, of course, but this man, he doesn't look like he is lying. But I can't trust him. What if he is good at lying? He does look like a manipulative bastard.
What if he is trying to manipulate me by saying all this?
" What if you are lying? I can't trust you. I trust Jimin more than you, he will never hide something from-"
" If you don't trust me then why were you lost in your thoughts right now?" That makes me shut up. He is right. I almost trusted him.
" Trust me, even I didn't know that he was hiding this from his dear wife. I myself am shocked but it is getting more interesting. First, him getting so worked up over a girl and now this...your man is full of surprises." Saying this, he gets up and starts to walk towards the door but halts when I call out to him.
" Who are you though?"
" I am Zade but people call me Z. This is the first time I am telling someone my real name, so consider yourself lucky." He winks and shuts the door after him, leaving me with my never-ending questions.
I thought I would get answers to some of my questions but Zade only made me more confused.
The thing about the secret...I trust Jimin. More than anyone but the way Zade appeared confident makes me unsure. The only person who can answer that question is Jimin and I can't wait to be with him. His arms wrapped around me. His warmth and comfort. I miss him.
How much ever I distract my mind by thinking about Jimin and his soothing presence, my mind keeps coming back to one question.
What is Jimin hiding from me?
To be continued...
