Blake's P.O.V.

I read the text back from Ty. I couldn't really get a good read on it but fuck it. I'll take whatever I can get. I still felt like I was on cloud nine from his sudden hug. Yet I longed for more. I sighed in defeat as I hit the button in the elevator to my flat. My head was all over the place tonight. Like what the fuck was all of that back at the club.

Ty felt so different tonight. Completely new from what Ty was back then. It was actually intriguing. It's like Ty still has his sweet tender side but a new sharp side. A side shrouded in mystery. I wanted to know more. Each step I took to my door had a small pep. I believe tonight was a great first step for us. I looked up at my door with gold numbers as I fished through my pocket for my house card.

I could use my keys but I'm honestly to fucking lazy. I walked into the corridor as I ran my hand along the wall. I noticed the light was left on in the living room towards the back. Weird the cleaner should have been gone already. Maybe she forgot to turn off the light. I heard some noise which now I'm concerned about.

I slowly inched in and tried to look around the corner. Shit is there a fucking intruder. I started mentally preparing myself in case I gotta fight or run. The figure was standing looking over the city lights through the windows. Wait I know this fucker. "What the fuck are you doing here? Wait better yet how did you get in here?" I told him as I threw my jacket on the couch.

"Well it's nice to see you too." He told me as he never turned back around as he put his hands in his pockets. I hate when he gets like this. It means something is going on. "Well you came here for a reason without telling me so spill in Derrick." I pretty much spat his name out. He slightly turned his head towards me with a scornful look. I sucked my teeth at his weak attempt.

"I didn't come here to fight with you Blake." Derrick pinched the bridge of his nose as he looked down. I have to be calm. I don't wanna ruin my mood from earlier. "I came here cause I knew you wouldn't have answered my text since our last meet up." I looked up to see Derrick now making his way to the seat across from me. I gave him a look and waited for him to continue.

"So why are you here? Did you come to tell me some half ass excuse...Sorry that was rather rude." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath until I was ready to speak again. "What happened Derrick?  What needs to be discussed?" Derrick didn't like that response either but whatever. I'm trying my best to be cordial. "I want us to be like how we used to be." Is all Derrick said as he looked at me with hope.

"What do you mean?" I asked him knowing damn well he won't admit it. "You know what I mean. You and I both changed drastically over the course of these past years." Derrick told me as he laid back on the couch. "I didn't chan..." I was cut off but a loud slam from Derrick. I was actually shocked by Derrick's actions. "You and I both know you're not the same. You used to cherish relationships and not sleep around like that." I looked at Derrick with wide eyes, completely unaware what he was about to dish. "All throughout college I always saw you bring a random guy back to our house almost every week. Shit only a handful of guys managed to come back twice. Yet none of them stayed. To make matters worse you only brought back guys who remotely looked like Tyler" I looked at him, unable to speak.

Derrick gave me a look before continuing. His voice got louder with each sentence. "Whenever I brought it up and shit. You always shoved me away. Saying some bullshit like "Oh it's just a quick thing" or "Why does it matter"!" Derrick stopped talking before taking a break. "I'm aware of my gross college experience. You think I don't regret what I have done!" I yelled as I stood up trying to defend myself. With a single tear coming down

Derrick quickly stood up as well. "Oh why!?! Is it because you finally found "The one"!" Derrick yelled with the last part in a mocking tone. "What about you? Huh. You wanna stand there demonizing me but what about you!" I pointed at Derrick trying to control my breathing. "You always were in this on and off relationship with this one bitch who was like a carbon copy of Tyler personality." Derrick had a shocked expression.
