The following days had no events planned, they were all cancelled. The day after the half point party was the most confusing day for everyone. Still no one knew what had happened, but they will soon. Ayaka went to confront Ayato herself about the situation once he was awake. She found him working at his desk, he looked very concentrated.
"Ayato, we need to do talk" She said.
He didn't respond, didn't even look up at her.
"What happened last night?" Ayaka asked.
He continued to not pay any attention to her.
"Listen to me Ayato!" She shouted.
Ayato let out a sigh and stopped. He looked up at her with a face she couldn't recognize, she had couldn't understand what he was feeling.
"Last night I had caught one of the candidates having an affair with Thoma. That's all, now leave me alone I need to finish this paper work" Ayato stated.
He swiftly returned back to his work. Ayaka stood there still confused, she felt like something was missing.
"So, now what do we do? You cancelled everything, what do you do now?" She asked.
"Well firstly we need to get Hiiragi Chisato disqualified, her behavior is extremely inappropriate" He said, "secondly I have an announcement to make"
"Which is?" Ayaka questioned.
"I have decided to push the date of the wedding up" He responded, "There will only be one week now"
"What? Why?" Ayaka asked.
"I see it as more beneficial" Ayato replied.
"In what way? How does this help anything?" She asked again.
"It just is, stop asking questions and left me focus!" He stated.
By his tone Ayaka could tell he was getting annoyed. She walked away without another word. She made her way to Thoma's room to check on him, she knew he would be very sick once he woke up.
"Thoma? Are you awake?" She asked as she peaked through the door.
Thoma was on the floor groaning in pain, he was extremely hungover.
"Oh man, what happened?" Thoma asked.
"You drank too much alcohol last night, here I brought you water" Ayaka replied.
She helped him sit up and handed him the water.
"Everything hurts, I can't even remember what happened for most of the night, last thing I remember was talking to Beidou" Thoma said.
"Oh, I see. I can't decide if that is a good thing or not" Ayaka said, the second part she said to herself quietly.
"What time is it? Are we late for the next event?" He asked.
"No, Ayato cancelled all the events for the next few days" Ayaka replied.
"Why?" He questioned.
"It's a long story, but it's important for you to know" Ayaka responded.
She spent the rest of the morning taking care of Thoma and explaining to him everything that had happened. She hesitated to tell him about the affair he was in but continued to tell him anyway.
"What?! How could this happen" Thoma said in shock.
He couldn't believe do something like that.
"What have I done? My life is ruining, I'm fired" He panicked.
