Our heroes went aboard the Egg Carrier to stop Chaos from reaching his final form.
During the rescue attempt, Gamma, gaining more sentience and realizing how bad his creator is, rebels against his programming and frees Amy and the Flicky from their cell before going off to annihilate all of the other E-series robots left.
Our heroes eventually caught up to see the Flicky's Chaos Emerald and Froggy being tossed into Chaos, granting him his next form: Chaos 6

Sonic, Knuckles and Big all teamed up against the monster, managing to free Froggy and give Chaos a hard beat down...
...only for Lord Rai to show up and throw the last Chaos Emerald into Chaos.
Now the beast is at full power and is about accomplish it's true goal: wipe out all of humanity and Mobians in revenge for the mistreatment of Chao!

Station Square
It was a normal day in Station Square as cars drove down the busy streets and people walked along the sidewalks nearby, everyone going about their day as they were oblivious to what was building in sewers below.
BOOM!!!
A manhole cover is launched off by a giant column of water bursting from below.
In seconds apart, more and more manhole covers are blown off......followed by the road cracking apart from the building pressure beneath, water gushing out of the cracks too.
Windows in tall buildings shattered from the water flooding out from upper floors, only adding to the city's mess.
In a matter of around 30 minutes, Station Square was completely flooded and destroyed, only ruined structures everywhere.
A monster formed the water, echoing a haunting roar for all to hear.
