Her Blood Tears

Beginning

Fern's POV

Today I was going to school since my parents already got me into one. I couldn't believe I moved into a small town in the mountains. I had gotten a lot of rest so I was already up and alive. Of course I didn't want to start all over again.

Since I was awake I made myself lunch. I grabbed my backpack and walked to school. Fluffy was inside asleep since it's really early in the morning. My parents were already at work so I just locked up everything. I followed the students walking ahead of me. I saw where the school was at anyway.

It was really green here out in the mountains. The forest that wraps around the town is beautiful. I liked the fresh air here. It was peaceful but it seemed too quiet. I had a weird feeling about the woods. I felt like I was being watched the whole time.

I kept my arms wrapped around me as I walked alone. I saw the school right ahead of me. I knew I was close to it. All the houses were so close together to fit in this small town. The houses were big and so were the yards. It looked pretty at lest.

There was fog everywhere. The air smelled of fresh rain like it was raining nearby. It was was a sting scent and it made the forest come more alive. Birds were chirping in the distance. I couldn't help but look at the different houses beside me.

After a half a block I was at the school. I walked around the parking lot and into the school. I was already in the walls within a couple of minutes. I walked around curiously. I kept my head down and I tried to move out of peoples way as fast as possible.

I didn't want to look at anyone in the eyes. I was scared that others would judge me. I never knew what it was like being the new girl before. I had to start all over again. As I was walking towards the office I saw a student aid. "All new students come here" said a girl with a badge.

I read the name just in case she asked me any questions. "I'm Daisy and I welcome you to our school" said the girl. She looked at me but I looked down to the ground. I started to get nervous so I rubbed my arm. "I will show you the school" said Daisy. I wanted to remember her name at least.

Everyone followed behind her as we walked around the school. We had a full tour of everything. I kept playing with my hair nervously. My hair is always in a pigtail hairstyle. I waved it this morning so I wouldn't be trying to play with it as much.

I looked at Daisy who was walking us around. I noticed she had blue eyes and black hair. She had a little wave to it. She had pale soft skin. She looked confident when she showed us around. She was lucky to be so used to things. I wanted to be like her.

"Everyone this is my sister Alieen" said Daisy. I looked to a girl who walked up to us. She had brown hair and blue eyes. You can tell they were related. "Hey guys" said Alieen politely. They we're both very pretty and they both we're confident.

"We are the only twins at the school" said Daisy. "Yeah we are both seniors too" said Alieen. Everyone looked impressed except me and two other seniors. "We'll this is the end of our tour. I hope this helped you to show the school in a different perspective" said Daisy. I watched as everyone walked away.

I stood by the lockers trying to remember what hallway was my first period class was in. "Where are you heading off to" said Daisy. "The library" said Alieen. I turned around wanting to go there maybe after school. "Where is it" I asked. "Oh I can take you" said Alieen. "Thank you" I said nodding my head. "Just meet us for lunch" said Alieen.

I nodded my head as the bell rang for first period. At least now I know where to go. I remembered my first class. I went to my classes until I was able to head to lunch. I tried to find them as quickly as possible. I was scared of looking like a lost child.

I looked around frantically trying to pretend to be interested in what was on my phone. I finally looked up and saw them. I walked quickly to the table they were sitting at. "Hi" said Alieen as she saw me. "Hi" I said as I sat down with them. "Come and eat with us real quick so we can take you to the library" said Daisy.

I nodded my head and I took out my lunch. "What is that" asked Daisy interested on why I brought lunch. They had plan cafeteria food. "It's shelled edamame and sauce silken tofu" I said to them. They looked amazed by the food I had brought. "I'm vegan" I told them as I kept my head down.

I was waiting for them to ask me questions about why I am vegan. "It looks delicious" said Alieen. They seemed to be okay with me being vegan. "What is your name again" said Daisy. "It's Fern Gardova. I know it's a weird last name" I said knowing it's true,

"That's not a bad last name" said Daisy. "Yeah imagine ours" said Alieen. I watched as they both looked at each other and then back at me. "We are the Periwinkle twins" they both said at the same time. "So Daisy and Alieen Periwinkle" I said.

"That's so cute" I said in complete honesty. "We now have a group of cool last names" said Daisy. "Yeah" said Alieen excitedly. I smiled at both of them for being so friendly to me. "We should hangout sometime" said Alieen. "Yeah" I agreed to make new friends on my first day of school.
