Fern's POV

I was thinking of giving Rhys a second chance. I did still like him a lot. Now that I know everything. He said that we can take things slow. I couldn't help but agree. We did start off slow. We still walked to school together since others might still kill me.

I went to my classes like normal. Alieen and me did not speak. I wanted to talk to her bit I know she was feeling down. During lunch I was going to be with Rhys and see if anyone has a say. I was obviously scared out of my mind but we couldn't hide it forever. I mean they would know easily.

When me and Rhys walked towards everyone where I first met them they were standing still. They all froze when they saw me. I watched as Alieen looked at me with joy and then she put her head down. Everyone else wasn't so pleased to see me like she was. I am excited to see her again too.

"What is this" said Dahlia as she looked at the both of us. Rhys grabbed my hand in his. "Looks like someone is okay with being eaten" said Gideon as he hissed. Rhys stepped in front of me. "Nobody is laying a hand on her" said Rhys threatening them. "Just because you are going to be a Vampire saint doesn't mean we listen to you" said Gideon.

He showed his fangs and hissed at Rhys. Just then Daisy turned her back on Gideon and hissed at him. Alieen, Dean, and Talon joined our side. "We are not yours to command" said Dean. "You are the one that got us here in the first place" said Talon.

"What is wrong with you" hissed Annabel. "Rhys stop this madness" said Dahlia. I watched a Rhys stood proud with my hand in his right by my side. At least we know the truth. The people who are with us and against us. "I love Fern and she will not be harmed" said Rhys again.

"You just made her death bed" said Annabel who looked like she was starving. "I will see you soon" said Gideon as he blew me a kiss. Rhys hissed and showed his fangs. I saw that his fangs were sharper. They looked more stronger then Gideon's dull ones. After I saw his fangs now I didn't fear them as much.

Rhys held my hand and we we were walking away as well but before we left we stopped in our tracks. "I am supposed to be your wife. I'm the future Sepperin that will be by your side as a vampire saint. The vampire courts Council was going to be ours" said Dahlia angry. "You mean yourself" said Rhys.

"I never wanted that but you did and you were just using me to get it" said Rhys. I saw as Dahlia rolled her eyes. "I wanted that more than anything. One way or another we will be wed by the vampire court" said Dahlia. She was eyeing down Rhys.

She looked at me and hissed. I stepped neck because she looked more then upset. "Hear my words it would be better if you listen to me" said Dahlia as she turned and walked away. Everyone who walked away with Gideon was gone. I couldn't believe that we did this all together.

"They will never stop" said Daisy. "Then that's good that she has us" said Alieen as she took my hand. "I missed you" I told her as I pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry" said Alieen as she pulled me in tighter. We both didn't want to let go of each other. I was happy we could stay friends still. I was happy again.

I pulled away from her and held onto her shoulders. "Why didn't you tell me that you were engaged" I said completely in shock. "You told her" said Alieen in shock. "I told her everything" said Rhys. They all cheered and laughed with us. "You two are perfect for each other" said Dean.

"The whole group has someone now" said Talon as he cheered. We all laughed and sat in the cafeteria. I pulled out my lunch from my backpack. I had made myself kale salad with roasted chickpeas, fries and vegan mayo. "Eww" teased Dean. "That's our girl" said Daisy as she pulled me in for a hug.

We all laughed and I felt Rhys's hand on my thigh. I looked at him and he gave me a soft smile. I smiled back at him. I felt like I belonged again even in a world with vampires. We may be so different but I wouldn't change a thing. I found outsiders like me.

I looked at each other and no matter how old they are they still remained me of teenagers that have to learn just like me. Nothing is going to be the same. Everything changes once in awhile. At least we will learn it together now. A full world I have to see.

"So after one hundred and twenty years why haven't you guys gotten married" I asked them. Alieen looked to Talon who had a kind hearted smile. "Just waiting until she gets better" said Talon as he rubbed her shoulder. She looked up at me and said "waiting for the right time." I knew which one it was.

"Why not a hundred years ago" I questioned them. "We we're just busy" said Alieen. Daisy started to laugh along with Dean. "They mean she was trapped by a hunter for years until I found her and rescued her" Daisy said. "I was seeking for her every day" said Talon as he was trying to explain himself.

"Yeah halfway across the world in the wrong direction" said Dean. "He tried" said Alieen as she joined in. She put her arms around her and Talon held her close to him. "I'm sorry" whispered Talon. "I'm here and that's all that matters" said Alieen. I wanted the same hope between me and Rhys. They we're honestly perfect for each other.
