Fern's POV
It was finally Alieen and Talon's wedding. They had a beautiful periwinkle wedding. I couldn't get over the pretty colors or the dress I was wearing. Alieen and Talon looked so happy. They invited every vampire they have ever known to be here.
We stood at the altar as they were both looking so happy. Their eyes were twinkling with joy. I felt so proud of them as they finally got their happy ending. Eleora was the one joining them together. She also got what she wanted. I couldn't stop looking around.
Me and the girls stood on Alieen's side as Rhys and the guys stayed on Talon's side. Me and Rhys couldn't keep our eyes off of each other either. It was just a beautiful moment between me and my friends. I couldn't believe any of this. I honestly had tears in my eyes. Even with my vampire emotions active.
"Under this crescent moon tonight the lives of Alieen Periwinkle and Talon Sky will be united forever. The bloodlines will never be torn apart until death do we part again" said Eleora. It was such a beautiful ceremony. "I Alieen Periwinkle take Talon Sky as my husband and corpse of the night" said Alieen.
They we're doing traditional vampire wedding wedding vows. They sounded so beautiful when they talked about each other. "I Talon Sky take Alieen Periwinkle as my wife and vampiress of the night" said Talon. Both of them said those words with meaning and truth. I was overjoyed with glee.
"Now without any further ado I may pronounce Alieen and Talon the children of night. They are husband and wife" said Eleora. Everyone cheered for the both of them. "You both may kiss" said Eleora. Talon turned to Alieen and put his hand on her face. They we're inches apart and they slowly sunk into a kiss that they both have been craving all day today.
They pulled apart and everyone applauded and cheered even louder. We all know that they will spend the rest of their lives loving each other. They walked down the aisle and we left behind them so we can go to the reception hall for the party.
Now it was really time to celebrate their wedding day. As we made it inside we all took our seats ready to eat. There was blood in all the glasses instead of champagne. On all the plates was regular human food. Yes I still had vegan dishes since I was just so used to eating them. They we're so delicious.
When we were getting ready this morning I had celery juice. It was to help me not feel so stressed. I had avocado toast with vegan sausage with a side of strawberries. I was honestly so stressed that I even had to eat more. I had protein oats with caramelized bananas, blueberries, peanut butter and dark chocolate.
Breakfast was really the most important meal of today. Now I was eating veggie momos and samosa chaat. It was honestly the best I ever had. When dessert came around I couldn't help but look at the happy couple who ate together at the front table.
I grabbed myself some protein yogurt with cubed apples that had peanut butter and cinnamon. Once I grabbed the dessert I payed attention to them. They we're looking out into the reception hall full of people that were there to celebrate them. I think the most surreal moment of the wedding was this part.
Just realizing that everyone there is for you both. This just brought a smile to my face. As everyone else was eating cake it was time to celebrate. Music started to play and the new married couple went to dance. As Alieen walked past me she said "learning to dance again." She was so happy about this part.
Just weeks ago she was barley able to stand or take care of herself and Talon stayed at her bedside the entire time. Now they are living their lives the way they want too. She wanted to dance to a song that her parents danced too. It was a beautiful memory to them both. Daisy even walked her down the aisle.
Instead of a father and daughter dance it was Daisy who also danced with her and gave her away. They must have really missed having their parents around but I knew they loved the moments they shared together of having each other's back. They we're the perfect sister dynamic that I have ever seen.
Once they invited everyone to the dance floor Rhys came to my side. "Want to dance" he asked me with his hand out. I nodded my head and took his hand in mine. We both walked to the dance floor. Once we found a spot we both got ready to waltz.
Rhys had his hand around my waist well his other hand was in my own. I put my hand on his shoulder. I nestled next to him. Our skin was stuck together as we glided across the dance floor. It was such a beautiful sight to see everyone join in. The lovely melody played until it was time for the bouquet toss.
"Everyone it's time so everyone gather around to grab the bouquet" said Daisy through a microphone. They made even all the males stand up as well. As Alieen turned around she had her hands up ready to throw it. Except she didn't throw it at all. Alieen slowly turned around and walked towards us.
"To the new engaged couple" yelled Alieen as everyone cheered. I grabbed the bouquet in front of me and I turned to Rhys who was on his knee. In his hands was a ring box. "Fern Leticia Gardova will you marry me" said Rhys with love in his eyes and purest words in his voice. It was what my heart wanted to hear from the man of my dreams. "Yes" I said happily. Rhys put the ring on my finger and kissed me. I melted in the kiss because I was ready to live.
