Forceful

I wasn't sure about Liam. He seemed sketchy, and he put his hand on my thigh multiple times during the movie. It was hard to pay attention to the movie when I was constantly having to push him away. He scared me. I contemplated replying to his text for a minute before working up the courage to respond.

"Where are we going?"

He replied almost instantly, as if he were waiting for my response.

"You'll see."

I hated the suspense. I wanted to know right then and there. How should I even dress? Is it formal? Casual? I had so many questions but I was afraid to ask in fear of pestering him too much. I didn't want to chase him away. With over thinking killing me, I called my best friends Eva and Kat to come over. I had to tell them. They always gave me the best advice when it came to guys. They didn't like Mike from the start. Shit, I forgot to tell them we broke up.

My front door opened and I knew it was them. They had bags of food dangling from their arms. Three, foot long subs in one bag, sour gummy worm bags in another, paired with Dove chocolate squares and M&Ms. In the last bag were two dozen of the store bought sugar cookies, the really sweet ones I can never seem to get enough of.

"What's with all the food?" I asked, following them as they set the bags down on my kitchen table.

"You sounded upset on the phone, so we figured you might need comfort food." Kat said.

"We forgot the ice cream!" Eva exclaimed. She loved her ice cream.

"Eva, relax, you know I always have ice cream for you."

"So, spill the beans. Why are you sad?" Kat asked, cutting straight to the chase.

I took a cookie from the container before starting my story. "So this morning Mike called me and asked me to go see the new James Bond movie with him.

"Oh my gosh how was it? I wanna see it!" Eva interrupted. Kat gave her a stern look so she quieted down.

"Actually, I didn't see the movie. With Mike, anyway. I got there before he did so I stood in line and got our tickets. I stood outside and waited for him. Before I could even say hello to him he said we needed to talk. He broke up with me in the mall parking lot."

"Baby, are you okay?"

"Wait, let me continue. I walked to the mall with the useless tickets in my purse. I thought some Starbucks would cheer me up. But, I just moped around in there and cried a little. A guy who seemed a year or two older than me sat down across from me and started to talk to me, and insisted I go see the movie with him. I didn't even want to."

"So? What are you going to do? I'm not exactly seeing the big problem here."

"Actually, I need your advice. You see, he insisted on taking me home even though I said I was fine walking, and when I got out of the car and started walking up my drive way, he called me back to his car and asked for my number. Seeing as it was pouring down rain, I was soaked and freezing. He gave me his jacket." I said, realizing I had put it on after my shower without even noticing it wasn't mine. "Then he texted me and told me to be ready by seven tomorrow night because we're going out. That's all he said. He didn't even ask me if I wanted to, or tell me where we're going. I asked him and he simply said 'You'll see.' I don't know what to do."

"He seems like he'd be a protective boyfriend. Not my type, though. He seems like the type of guy you always go for. I say go get it tiger." Kat said. I looked at Eva but her mouth was too full with chocolate for her to speak.

"Look at all this candy! Lets make milkshakes with it!"

Kat, Eva and I ate our hearts out. Good thing I have a fast metabolism, otherwise I'd be 200 pounds. After making milkshakes, we bawled our eyes out watching Titanic. It was my favorite movie ever.

Kat had to leave early for work and Eva had to go pick up her mom and sister at the airport, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I had a light lunch around 2, before I decided to go take a nice relaxing bath. I lit some vanilla scented candles and turned the water on and threw in some bubbles. I grabbed the book I had been reading and stripped down and sank into the warm bath water.

I totally lost track of time. I looked at my phones clock that read 4:12 PM. Shit. I quickly washed and conditioned my long brown hair and shaved. I got out and wrapped my body in a towel before doing the same with my hair. I put on a face mask before exiting my bathroom and putting on my undergarments and standing in front of my closet, trying to decide what to wear. After almost tearing apart my closet, I decided on a peach sun dress with spaghetti string straps that came down to right above my knees and matching wedge heels. It came with a brown belt that hung perfectly around my waist. I slipped on a brown string bracelet to match my belt. My purse was the same color of brown, of course. I put on a double loop pearl necklace (the one you wrap around your neck twice) and matching pearl earrings. I went to quickly wash my face. I did my make up as I waited for my natural off-wavy hair to dry before straightening it. I put moisturizer on my legs and arms before going downstairs and waiting for Liam with exactly seven minutes to spare.
