With my heart racing the doorbell finally rang and I knew it was Liam. Why was I so nervous? I hope I'm not over dressed, I said to myself before opening the door. Liam was standing there with his hands in his dark blue jean pockets. He was wearing a blue collar shirt with three or four buttons running down from the neckline. It made his muscles look more defined then they already were. Dear god.

The whole car ride, Liam wouldn't tell me where he was taking me. I only asked him a total of three times, careful not to pester him. At a stop light, he put his large hand on my thigh, making me push it away once again. He let out a hearty laugh before the light changed to green. Finally, we pulled up to a fancy looking Italian restaurant I had never even heard of before. We went in and got seated right away, Liam had already made reservations.

We sat down and a waiter came over to us almost immediately, with complementary bread sticks in hand and we gave him our drink orders. He left all too soon, leaving me and Liam alone.

"What are you going to be getting?"

My eyes ran up and down the menu before replying. "I'm not hungry."

"Don't make me order for you again."He growled. I quickly decided what to get, not wanting to anger him any further.

"Are you two ready to order?"

"Can I just have the breadsticks?" I joked. Our waiter laughed. Liam didn't find it funny. Instead he shot me a stern look. I guess I was getting a little too friendly with the waiter for his comfort. Liam ordered some sort of ravioli dish, but I went with the seafood Alfredo. It was my favorite Italian dish. My mother used to make it all the time for me when I was younger.

A group of loud guys walked in and were escorted to their table by the same short blonde hostess we had. Liam glared at them. Was there something I had been missing? It felt like Liam was more interested in those guys than me. We could be engaged in conversation but he would still be peering at them from the corner of his eyes. Our food came and I dove right in, even though I could tell Liam was getting bothered by the amount of noise coming from the corner behind him. He didn't take a bite of his food, he just kept moving it around on his plate.

"Liam, is something bothering you?"

"I'll take care of it." He said as he turned around in his chair to face the loud group of obnoxious boys. I reached across the table and grabbed his arm.

"Don't."

He pulled away from my grasp. "Hey, could you keep it down over there? We're trying to enjoy our evening."

"Liam! Buddy boy! Old pal! Is there something wrong? You seem to be mad since I, uh, stole your girl." That seemed to be the last straw for Liam. He got up and went towards the table of boys. I tried to get up after him.

"Bayleigh stay there."

"Liam, no, stop."

"God dammit I said stay there!"

I sat back down, scared and shocked that he had yelled at me. I helplessly watched as he went over to the group of boys, the one who had talked to Liam immediately stood up. Some words were being exchanged that were in audible to me from the distance. The mans posse watched on, one instigating as some more words were exchanged. And then the first punch was thrown.
