IRENE'S POV

10 years later...

I woke up early to cook breakfast naligo narin ako pagkatapos at nagbihis. Naupo  ako sa vanity table ng makita ko sa reflection si Greggy na mahimbing na natutulog, ang pogi nya talaga naghanda lang ako at pumili ng masusuot na damit. I chose the most elegant dress for today, ngayon daw ang dating ng bagong arki at engineer na magpo-propose ng plan  sa bagong building na ipapatayo. Syempre kailangan kong maging presentable. Bumaba ako saglit para ihain yung niluto ko

And about Livy? wala na kaming contact sa kanya magsa-sampung taon na ata? Aimee decided to be away from us for good, i dont know why. masakit parin, oo. pero hindi na kagaya ng dati, I've learned to move on and forgive myself to start once again.

Hindi ko alam if she was able to gain her sight back, as in zero information kaming lahat. but since that day we all realized that hindi pala maganda na mastuck sa isang situation. anyways ginising ko na si Greggy para makapaghanda narin siya. nagulat ako naka gayak na pala siya, angbilis naman ata. 

"Ang bilis mong nakabihis ah? kanina tulog ka pa eh" gulat kong sabi na ikinatawa ni Greggy. kinidatan nya ako at nagsalita "Ako pa, si flash kaya ito" at nagpakita ng matamis na ngiti. 

"Sus excited ka lang makita yung intern eh, maganda sya diba? tsaka maputi? dun kana" i pouted and he chuckled 

"Nagseselos ka? sa gwapo ko  ba namang to marami talagang mabibihag pero wag kang mag-alala ikaw lang ang crinash-back ko." pang-iinis nya

"corny mo!" i said at siniko siya at lumakad palabas  "selosa" he whispered. liningon ko siya ang pinandilatan ng mata, he grinned and said " wala hehehe, love you" inakbayan nya ako at sabay kaming bumaba para kumain.

We all gathered here sa boardroom and waited for our visitors to  come syempre mas mainam na kami ang mauna at maghintay sa bisita nakakahiya naman kung kami pa yung hihintayin. kanina pa ako kinakabahan dahil umaasa yung puso ko na sana siya yung engineer sana bumalik na si Olivia dito. 

i heard footsteps, aggressive footsteps, it was Monica, my new secretary. 
" excuse me maam, Engineer Isa wants to talk to you" she said and handed my the phone. I excused myself and took the phone 

" HELLO?" I greeted politely

"Good Morning,Hello Mrs. Araneta?" this is the assistant of Engr. Isa I am really sorry to keep you waiting, we are stuck in the middle of the road, the engine of her car broke and she's currently fixing the car." she said in the other line worriedly

"oh its fine miss. we can send our driver there to pick you up" i offered i heard a sigh on the other line.

"come on! just resched the meeting Tina! " i heard someone hissed on the other line a familiar voice, a very familiar voice. my heart is screaming rinig na rinig ko parehong pareho sa boses nya. Napaparanoid na ba ako? oh ewan? 

"Is there any chance that we will resched our meeting po? nakakahiya naman po sa inyo if we'll let you wait"  narinig kong usal nya sa kabilang linya. 

" Ahh no no, we can wait for you maam, just call us for updates and we are always on the go to help, have a nice day!" i said politely. Bumalik ako sa room at ibininalita sa kanila yung napag-usapan namin sa tawag.

SOMEONES  POV

Shit our car engine broke!!! pag sinuswerte ka nga naman! pinatid ko ang gulong saka ko hinugot ang phone ko para humingi ng tulong, hindi na talaga kaya ng powers ko na ifix ito, the damage looks so so serious kailangan na ng mekaniko.

"Hello Ate V! good day." i greeted on the other line

"hello baby? you sound so exhausted what happened" she asked worriedly.

"yeah my damn engine broke, late na ako sa meeting ko." sumbong ko sa kanya. i heard her chuckled and said

" okay madam I am on my way". she said and ended the phone call this woman never failed to save my ass hahahaha.

Nakaupo ako sa sidewalk at binibilang ang mga sasakyang dumadaan, medjo nababagot narin ako sa kakahintay kay Ate pinauna ko na rin kasi si Tina para makapag present na siya ng plan, hindi ko nga alam kung saan ang location eh, ibang klase rin naman kasi itong architect hindi ako iniinform kung sino ang client namin duhh, hindi man lang ako nakapag background check, mamaya baka scammer pa eh!!

 I saw a red car parked in front of me and opened its window, Ate V welcomed me with a wide smile " Hop in!" she said. Matamlay kong tinungo ang pinto ng sasakyan at sumakay.

"Pagod ang Baby ko?" tanong nya at pinisil ang mukha ko.  I pouted "Ano dating gawi?" she continued a curve formed in lips at tumango ako. I feel so safe with her malapit narin naman mag tanghali kaya minabuti naming umuwi at maghanda ng tanghalian...

"Anong gusto mong kainin?" she asked I am craving for Bagnet! My all time favorite.

"BAGNET!" we said in chorus. HAHAHAHAHAHAH. "Kilala na kita damulag! hindi ka pa ba nagsasawa sa bagnet?" she asked... "Ngeeee bakit naman ako magsasawa eh naalala ko I used to cook that with her before" i said bigla akong lumungkot ng maalala siya, i cant deny it... i miss her so so so much.

"Bawal po ang naka busangot dito" tapik ni Ate at tinaas baba ang kanyang kilay "Kung nag commute ka kanina edi sana chance mo na yun" saad nya at umupo sa tabi ko. ano na namang pinagsasabi nitong si Ate. I looked at her out of curiosity and her jaw droped 

" Hindi ba sinabi sayo ni Tina?. OMG Biyanggg tingnan mo 'to" she handed me her phone. I gasped the moment i land my sight on her phone. I can feel my cheeks burning with tears are starting to form and my heart pounded so very fast. 

" I am not ready,Ate".. that was the exact words that came out to my mouth. "You should be, Biyang... kailan ka ba magiging ready? hanggang mahuli na ang lahat? hindi mo pwedeng takasan ang katotohanan" she said

KAHIT PILITIN KONG LUMAYO, PILIT KAMING PINAGTATAGPO NG TADHANA. ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I CUTTED OUR STRINGS BUT DESTINY IS MAKING ITS WAY FOR US TO RECONNECT AGAIN, HINDI KO MATATAKASAN ANG KATOTOHANAN NGUNIT ALAM KONG KAYA KO PA ITONG IWASAN. HANGGANG KAILAN BA AKO TATAKBO SA REALIDAD? HANGGANG KAILAN AKO MANANATILING TAKOT?
