Ainz spent the next three days wandering around the SSV Everest to grasp the technological advancements of humanity in recent years. People would occasionally stop what they were doing and mutedly stare in his general direction, but Ainz chose to ignore them and focus on his current goal. After learning the basics, he began to learn more about their weaponry.

With the help of an anxious firing instructor, who could barely remain conscious in such a monstrous presence, Ainz began training himself to use the newer firearms of the unknown generation. The first aspect he focused on was compacting firearms into a more carriable form.

It took him very little time to master the art, easily folding the weapons in less than a second before reopening it once more, leaving those who watched awestruck. Following this, Ainz began using multiple weapons from the Alliance's basic arsenal, including the M8 Avenger Assault Rifle, the M3 Predator Pistol, the M97 Viper Sniper Rifle. The last weapon he learned to use was the M23 Katana Shotgun.

The firing instructor nervously explained that modern weapons utilised shards of metal --no bigger than a grain of sand-- that fired at lethal speeds. Due to the efficiency of the metal blocks, and the amount of 'bullet' shards provided by the material, there was no need to search the battlefield for ammo or worry about carrying additional packs. However, the instructor also mentioned that weapons could overheat if fired continuously for too long.

Ainz decided that his next step would be to analyse the use of 'omni-tools' - a powerful accessory that helped with communication, entertainment and overall ease-of-us throughout one's day. Though unsure how the tool itself functioned, he managed to grasp a well educated background on the tool from a technical specialist on the SSV Everest who offered assistance.

After receiving his own personal omni-tool from the staff, Ainz decided to search for Captain Anderson and decide what he wanted to do next. It didn't take him very long to discover the human's whereabouts. He found him looming on the observation deck with his arms behind his back, reflecting.

Anderson turned to face the Overlord, a nervous glint reflected in his eyes, before addressing him:

"Ainz. I didn't expect to see you so soon."

"Captain Anderson, I wanted to ask when the Alliance wants me to begin my first mission." Ainz questioned. "I'm having trouble finding much of any entertainment on this vessel."

Anderson looked at him with concern, but quickly shrugged it off. He looked into the Overlord's crimson orbs and gave a knowing nod; not getting things done was a true pain for any soldier, and it seemed Ainz Ooal Gown was no different. Perhaps he truly was human in nature.

"I see... well, Admiral Hackett informed me that you'll be stationed on the Normandy from now on." He explained. "Of course, if you have any objections, I can let the Admiral know and he can relocate you to another vessel."

Though Anderson claimed to be alright with any objections, Ainz could tell from the sweat on his forehead that the human captain was internally begging him to play along. After all, having an overpowered magical zombie on your ship is sure to have plentiful advantages when facing the enemy. It was only natural that Anderson would want him on the Normandy for extra efficiency.

Besides, the other captains were probably too scared -or racist- to accept him onto their own vessels. There weren't many other options for Ainz to take other than Captain Anderson, even if he wanted to check around. As such, he decided to accept the man's offer and proceed.

"I have no objections, Captain."

Anderson smiled. "That's good to hear." He offered a hand to the Overlord. "Welcome aboard the Normandy. I'm sure you'll be an excellent addition to the crew."
