Gareth's Book - Book Four

Chapter Thirty-One

——Y/n's POV——

"Leona, she's just like me when I was her age. What if he-" I was saying to Steve before Billy cut me off.

"He can't hurt you or Leona, not anymore. Vecna killed him last spring" Billy told me.

"Jesus Christ Billy! You scared me! But he's really dead?" I asked Billy.

"Yes, he is. Before coming here I made sure he was" Billy explained to me.

"Thank you Billy" I told Billy as I hugged him.

"Not a problem. After I died I realized that you're like a sister to me. And I would do anything for the people I consider family" Billy told me as he hugged me back.

*As Billy let go of you, you passed out again*

——Billy's POV——

*You had just passed out. You were laying on the floor in front of Billy and Steve. Steve dropped to the ground next to you*

"Help me move Y/n off the floor" Steve told me as he got ready to try and pick up Y/n.

"I'll get her, you'd probably drop her Harrington" I said to Steve jokingly as I picked up Y/n.

"I wouldn't drop her! I've been working out in my spare time. Anyways, put her on the couch " Steve told me as I placed Y/n on the couch.

*As Billy placed you on the couch there was a knock on the door. Billy ran and hid in the twins' room while Steve answered the door. At the door was Gareth*

——Steve's POV——

"Where is Y/n?" Gareth asked me firmly.

"She's not here right now. Can I take a message?" I said to Gareth as I tried to hide his view of the couch with my body.

"What the fuck is wrong with you Harrington? You know what, I think that I'll have a look for Y/n myself" Gareth told me as he tried to push pass me.

*Gareth very easily pushed past Steve to you. After Gareth saw your passed out body on the couch he turned around and lunged at Steve, attacking him. Gareth mounted him and tried to punch him before Billy caught Gareth's hand with his. Gareth looked up and saw Billy, he got off Steve and froze*

"No... You're dead! Lucas saw you die before the book went missing... You're dead!" Gareth yelled out as he moved in circles around Billy.

"I'm both alive and dead, but enough about me. Why'd you come here?" Billy asked Gareth sternly.

"Harrington are you seeing him to?" Gareth asked me as he continued to move in circles around Billy.

*You started to wake up as all this was going on. By the time Gareth last sentence left his lips you were wake enough to speak*

"Steve... Steve, where are you?" Y/n softly called out from the couch.

*Both Steve and Gareth ran over to you*

"Darling, are you okay? Do you remember what happened?" I asked Y/n.

I tried to ask the questions that Dustin normally asks her, but it's my first time doing this without Dustin. I can't remember if I missed a question or not, but I don't think I did.

"The last thing I remember was Billy telling us that he made sure he was dead. I feel fine, but still tired. So how about that nap you talked about earlier Harrington" Y/n said to me in her sleepy voice.

"I would love to go take that nap, but Gareth wants to talk to you and he's here right now" I softly explained to a tired Y/n.

——Y/n's POV——

"Oh, ok then... Can you boys leave while I talk with Gareth. Please..." I asked Steve and Billy.

*The two of them didn't say anything, they just walked away. You sat up and Gareth sat down next to you*

"I wasn't expecting you to stop by today. I thought you said that you were coming by tomorrow?" I said to Gareth.

"I was planning on coming by tomorrow, but this is too important to wait" Gareth told me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked Gareth.

"Do you remember those spell books that I had back in high school?" Gareth asked me.

"Yes, I remember. But what do they have to do with anything?" I asked Gareth with visible confusion in my eyes.

"Well, I was going through them last night. And in this book right here I found a spell that I think you need to see for yourself" Gareth said as he handed me a spell book already open to a page.

*You read the tilde of the page and froze. You handed the book back to Gareth*

"Why would you show me that" I quickly asked Gareth.

"With this we can bring back Eddie. Levin and Leona can meet their dad if we do this!" Gareth told me while visibly looking excited.

"Well you see... Eddie is already back..." I explained to Gareth.

"What the actual hell do you mean?!" Gareth yelled out in shock.

"I can take you to him if you want" I told Gareth.

*Gareth nodded and you led him up to the attic were Eddie was*

"Eddie! Can you come out? It's important!" I yelled out to Eddie as I led Gareth up the attic stairs.

*Eddie didn't respond, you assumed that he was either asleep or somehow high out of his mind. Despite the two possibilities that ran through your mind, you continued up the stairs with Gareth. When you made it up the stairs you saw Eddie standing there. Gareth took a step back upon seeing Eddie*

"See what I mean, he's alive... Gareth, are you okay?" I asked Gareth as I saw the colour drain from his face.

*Gareth ran towards Eddie and hugged him. Eddie hugged him back with a look of pure joy on his face. Tears were forming in both Gareth and Eddie's eyes*

"I'll give you two some time alone together. But Gareth, before you leave I am going to have to talk with you" I told Gareth and Eddie as I headed back downstairs to Steve and Billy.

*Now downstairs, you saw Billy and Steve talking and you approached the both of them. Then Steve noticed you and turned to face you*

"How did things go with Gareth and Eddie?" Steve asked me, but was something off about him, almost like there was something that he was trying to avoid telling me.

"I would say that it went pretty well. I did tell Gareth to come and talk with me before he left, but who knows when he'll be leaving" I told Steve.

"Good for Gareth then, I can't imagine all the emotions that he's feeling. Also, there's something that me and Billy need to discuss with you. And I think you should sit down for it..." Steve said to me while avoiding eye contact.

"No" I told Steve.
