I Say No - Book Four

Chapter Thirty-Two

——Y/n's POV——

"No" I told Steve.

"What?! You don't even want to hear what it is?!" Steve asked me, sounding stunned and confused by my answer.

"I really need a break from these important conversations that have happened in the past forty-eight hours. Right now I can't handle anymore serious discussions. I'm going to write a note for Gareth when he leaves, and in the mean time, I'm finally going to take that nap!" I slightly shouted at Steve as I walked off into the kitchen to grab out a pen and paper.

*After you grabbed a pen and paper you quickly scribed down a note for Gareth. The note basically boiled down to "please don't tell a soul that Eddie and Billy are alive and at my house". After that you walked back over to Steve and Billy*

"Billy, can you make sure Gareth gets this before he leaves" I asked Billy as I handed him the note.

*After Billy took the note, you walked into your bedroom and got changed into some comfy shorts and a hoodie. Just as you were about to lay down and get comfortable, Steve walked in*

"Are you here to join me?" I asked Steve.

"Yeah, I know that you sleep better when someone is with you" Steve told me as he laid down with his arms open, waiting for me.

*You laid down on Steve's chest and got comfortable. Within a matter of mere minutes you were already fast asleep. You felt save in Steve's embrace, as if no harm would ever come to you again. As long as Steve was alive and there to protect you*

*Six hours pasted and you started to wake up. You slowly opened your eyes to see Steve looking lovingly at you*

"Hello Darling, did you sleep well?" He asked me.

"I slept well, but did you get any sleep?" I asked him as I looked up at him.

"No I didn't, I wasn't that tried to begin with, so it was kinda hard to fall asleep" Steve explained to me.

"You know you didn't have to stay here if you weren't tried" I told him.

"You seem to sleep better when I'm with you. Plus, I got cuddles out of it, so who cares" Steve said as he laughed lightly.

*You moved up to his face and lightly kissed him. Before it could anywhere else, there was a loud angry knocking on your bedroom door. You and Steve got up and opened the door. At the door was Billy and Dustin*

"Sorry to interrupt anything, but we need to steal Steve from you for a bit. And before you ask, Gareth did leave with the note" Billy told me.

"Okay, that's good. And I guess I'll see you guys in a bit" I told them as I walked out to my living room and turned the TV to my soap-opera.

——Steve's POV——

*Steve, Billy, and Dustin headed up to the attic and met up with Eddie. The three of them sat down with Eddie. Steve noticed that Eddie had a book next to him that looked similar to the book that Gareth had before, but Steve didn't think much of it*

"So, Steve, can you explain to Eddie what happened after what I thought was Y/n's Vecna attack" Dustin asked me.

"Um, ok. Well after Y/n woke up she said "I saw them, Billy... Eddie... alive in this place. A dark place... Hawkins but different..." as she held onto me for support" I explained to the three of them.

"The elm tree at first did look a lot like the UpsideDown when we first got there. So, it's possible that the elm tree is just a separate part of the UpsideDown" Billy told Eddie.
