Willow knew moving to a new town and city was supposed to be nice. This was a fresh start. She was supposed to feel excited.

But she couldn't help but feel guilty knowing she wasn't. Fresh starts we're like a clean slate, but willow felt like this 'fresh start'  wasn't so fresh anymore.

Her and her family were constantly moving. Her dad finding jobs all over the globe and her mom following along with both Willow and her brother Kai.

They never quite stuck somewhere. By now Willow has travelled all over the state. Sometimes leaving the country only to return months later.

She always planned and expected it. But this time it caught her off guard. It hit her in the face like a punch she hadn't seen coming.

How could she be so stupid?.

It was almost a year and a half. The longest she and her family had every stayed anywhere before.

She had many friends, She had a beautiful room, She had so many things to look forward too. All for it to be ripped away from her all over again.

Willow knows she shouldn't be feeling this way, and should be excited and grateful to be given such a wonderful family and new home.

Sure she is grateful for those things, but this constant drop off then pick up pattern had exhausted her mentally.

No matter how hard she tried, her heart will always have a piece ripped from it and kept in every place she has ever gone then left. Slowly she will have nothing left. Willow knows that.

But for now not making any friends, and not making any stupid mistakes will keep it preserved. Her heart will stay partially whole, at least for the time being.

She doesn't need to be ripped apart again. Not now. Not ever.

She was done having friends ripped away from her. She was done watching her room she spent months on, being shoved in a cardboard box. She was done with it all.

So this time willow is determined it's going to be different.

What can be ripped away from her, if there was nothing to rip away in the first place?.
