MY PAINTBRUSH LIGHTLY STROKED the unfinished canvas infront for me as he watches from my bed. It was amusing being in Eli's presence and no longer feeling agitated.

"Stop looking at me like that." I smile, looking over my shoulder. His eyes grin childishly, as his red hair perfectly falls above his forehead.

"I'm just staring." He says innocently.

I turn over to him, watching as he watches my every move with intention.

"You know what else i was staring at?."

His eyebrows furrow. "What?."

"The ugly atrocious mohawk you put on my younger brothers head."

Eli laughs from my bed with a toothy grin before lying on his back. "Why do you hate the Mohawk so much?."

I sigh, twirling my brush in the glass of water beside me, watching as the colours transformed its clarity into a misty grey shade.

"On you? Or kai?."

"Me."

I let out a breath before biting my lip in thought. "Because i don't think it's you."

He stares at me from his laying position on my bed, his hair almost covering his eyes from the world.

"why is it not me?."

I sigh and walk over to the bed, the large t-shirt i have on hanging above my exposed thighs and short biker shorts.

"I don't know." I admit.

Truth is i don't know why i don't like his mohawk. I feel like deep down i know who Eli is as a person and the mohawk on his head does not justify anything for me.

He's Eli.

He doesn't need bright red hair, or a sharp scary exterior for people to know his name. He was fully capable of doing that without a little bit of hair dye and gel.

I lay down beside him, both of us looking up at the ceiling my body lays under when i go to rest.

"Did you ever hate me?." after a few moments I find myself asking him.

He chuckles under his breath, before speaking. "Yeah i always thought you were an annoying piece of shit, and sometimes i still do-"

I cut him off with a loud gasp sitting up and hitting his shoulder.

"Oh you're one to talk shit face." I exclaim.

He smiles widely again before pulling me back down onto the bed from my waist. The playful yet childish manner does nothing but make me melt from the inside out.

"I don't think i ever hated you." His voice muffled against the crown of my head.

I turn over so my hand lays on his chest, his body still in a laying position as he watches me."If it makes you feel any better i don't think i ever hated you."

He smiles down at me. "Really?."

I shake my head. "No i was lying."

His mouth drops open in shock, as i laugh in his face.

"That's not what Demetri said." I furrow my eyebrows as he shrugs.

"And what exactly did Demetri say...?"

He laughs to himself brushing the stray piece of hair from my bangs away from my face.

"That you're in love with me."

My smile falls before i see the playful glint in Eli's eyes. I take a pillow from my bed and smack him in the face with it.

His body lets out a muffled grunt and chuckle against the silk white pillow case.

"You fucking liar!." I laugh with him.

I pull the pillow off of him and fall flat on my back beside him. Both of us looking above us with the same smile on our faces.

"I really like you Willow."He says out loud. The words hang in the air like clothing being placed outside to dry.

I know he likes me, and i know i like him. I just don't know exactly what we're supposed to do next.

"Hawk i guess I really like you too." I look over at him and see him cringe beside me.

my eyebrows lift in amusement.

"As much as i tell everyone to call me that it doesn't sound nice when you say it." I sigh before turning over on my side to face him.

"What do you mean?." i ask him, watching his perfectly shaped nose in-front of me and his vibrant blue eyes that kind of scare me. I don't really like blue eyes cause i think they look possessive at times, but his are very very nice.

"I like that someone calls me Eli."He states.

I shake my head with a playful smile. "But demetri calls you Eli all the time-"

"I know but i like it when you say it." He cuts me off, brushing away another strand of my hair.

I fight the urge to smile into the pillow case i lay on. Maybe even kick my feet or bite my lip but i resist the urge to do it. I really really like Eli.

"Good."

He smiles at me before brushing at the skin of my palm where a stroke of dry paint stains. He rubs it gently away before opening his mouth to speak again.

"Kai told me about your Dad." He says.

My eyes immediately snapped to him in worry. I never really told kai to not tell Eli about our fathers issues, but now that he knows about it i'm wishing just a few weeks ago i could have told kai to keep
his mouth shut.

My family issues could change a lot between me and Eli, possibly show him a side of me i don't like showing people. And i hate the idea of that being a possibility.

"Oh..." i said awkwardly to myself. "And?." i ask.

"And?, it's not changing anything between us." He states.

i look at him once more for clarification. "Are you sure?, i cry a lot."

"I'll take those tears and grow flowers." Even though that sentence was the most corniest thing Eli has ever said, and we both cringed because of it, it still touched me in a way my heart fluttered a million different beats.

We both bursted out laughing, falling into hysteria.

"God that sounded weird hearing those words coming out of your mouth."

He laughs against the top of my head. "Oh c'mon princess i know you loved it."
