JAKE and Lin kneel together inside Hometree.
Lin touches her lips with her fingertips.
"Seyri." Jake copies slowly after The girl
She touches her nose, her ears, her eyes in quick sequence.
"Ontu, mikyun, navi" Lin frowns her eyebrows and lowers her hand
"Nari"
"Narei"
"Nariiii!" Lin holds out her i for longer emphasising the speech
"Narrii" she rolls her eyes and smacks his head
ANOTHER DAY
Lin stands next to jake, correcting his position as he draws a longbow.
She watches as he lifts the bow and she tells him to breath in
"Txurnl'ul. Stronger" she takes a breathe, tapping her stomach
Watching him lift the bow again.
She reaches out and pushes his stomach
Then smacks him on the shoulder, then the arm.
Lin moves forward and lifts the bow up, standing backwards
And hitting his arm up once again.
ANOTHER DAY
LIN leaps off into space, falling, falling until
She catches an enormous palm leaf and, gripping it,
allows its droop to slow her fall.
She lets go, plummeting, and catches another.
Jake FOLLOWS in a leap of faith.
From leaf to leaf, down and down in a dizzying kinetic.
He drops down from the last leaf, landing next to her on a game trail.
He is exhilarated to still be alive.
Lin is surprised that he followed.
That he lived.
GRACE had joined jake and came down to greet the Na'vi children.
Grace kneels to hug children she knows.
Grace's eyes sparkle as she chats with them
before her eyes converted to the two girls walking over to her
Grace looks up to see Neytiri and Lin approaching.
It is an awkward moment between the three.
Before grace makes the formal gesture of greeting.
I See you, Neytiri Mo'at'ite. I see you Lin Mo'at'ite"
The girls share a smile Before speaking at the same time
"I See you, Doctor Grace Augustine."
Lin looks back to jake who is smiling at her
And she rolls her eyes mouthing "big blue baby"
sticking her middle finger up at him and turning
back to her sister.
Lin said her goodbyes to Grace and Neytiri
before grabbing jakes arm and dragging him off
into the forest. She laughed as she ran threw the leaves
Of an old tree, as jake stood and watched her in Awe
They made there way deeper into forest
As Lin spotted something among some vines.
She nods to the crevice and Jake follows
Both of them crawl through the undergrowth.
She points and he parts some leaves to see a
mother viperwolf bringing meat to her cubs,
which frisk around her legs. She licks their faces.
ANOTHER DAY
Lin stands close behind Jake, adjusting his position as he draws his bow.
Only NOW her hands are gentle as they move on his arms, his shoulders.
Aware of her touch, Jake's focus is broken.
Their eyes meet, and she pulls away quickly.
Feeling a tingle on her face, bring her fingers to her cheeks
and feeling a rush of heat transfer to her fingertips.
Later that night Lin and Jake had gone out to see if Jake was ready.
They had been walking in silence, they hadn't talked that much since
the early encounter as they were both flushed with desire.
Lin signals him to move slowly.
They approach a creature on one of the ferns.
An ugly, lizard like thing.
Jake reaches forward and touches it making it
Spread its wings into a circle and spin around
Growling with colour.
Lin plunges among the ferns with a sharp cry.
She looks up to the sky as An EXPLOSION of colour as dozens
of fan lizards take flight.
Grinning widely, she hops around like a little girl,
until they are all flying.
She looks to Jake who is already looking at her,
and smiling at him a turning feeling in her stomach
as she turns away from him. And for the first time,
she is unguarded and joyful, totally herself with him.
Jake silently drawing his bow, his eyes focused in intense concentration.
The Hexapede snaps it's neck to face Lin and Jake
wide eyed as it makes a weird sound.
Lins ears prick up and twitch, a slight smile on her face
Jake doesn't miss a beat and pulls his bow,
the arrow flies directly into the creature.
JAKE pulls the arrow from the twitching body of a hexapede.
He dispatches it with his knife. He speaks haltingly, but with feeling,
in Na'vi.
"I See you Brother, and thank you.
Your spirit goes with Eywa, your body stays
behind to become part of the People."
Lin watches with approval, a wide smile spread across her face
She felt proud of him and it made her scared.
"A clean kill...You are ready." Jake raises his eyebrows
looking at the girl with a smirk
"Yeah, yeah whatever blue baby" she rolls her eyes and walks away
telling Jake to bring his prize
