TSU'TEY and Jake square off. Each holds a long, solid staff.
The entire clan crowds around them in a circle.
Lins worried face sat at the front of the crowd, of course.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Grace stood beside Lin as Jake stood infront of them
"It's the only way to get him to goddamn listen."
His piercing eyes meet his mates and his facial expressions softens
when he sees her face "please be careful..."
She quietly mutters squeezing his palm with hers.
Jake Nods, squeezing her hand back before walking away.
Tsu'tey LEAPS at Jake with a sharp cry and Jake parries with his staff.
The staves CLACK off each other as the two combatants leap, duck and strike furiously.
Tsu'tey sweeps Jake off his feet with a roundhouse hit to the ankles,
but Jake ROLLS out of it and catches Tsu'tey in the belly with the blunt end.
Tsu'tey wades in with a series of short, sharp blows. Jake swings with equal fury.
Both fighting from the heart.
The staves whistle through the air, and clack together like gunshots.
Jake presses hard, and Tsu'tey staggers back stumbling as Jake lands a SOLID hit,
dropping him to his knees, just as Grace's eyes roll back and she keels over.
Lin barely catches her before she hits the ground.
Jake parries as Tsu'tey swings but then Jake's eyes go blank.
Tsu'tey puts one alongside his head. Jake sprawls, completely inert.
Tsu'tey pokes him with his staff, then raises it and lets out a piercing victory cry.
Tsu'tey draws his knife, and bends down, grabbing Jake by the hair.
"This is a demon in a false body. It should not live."
He puts his knife to Jake's throat but Lin blind-sides him at full tilt.
Tsu'tey sprawls, rolls, comes up to see Lin crouched over jake like a lioness.
Her KNIFE and teeth bared, her ears flattened.
She hisses with primal fury. Tsu'tey stands panting.
He pushes through the crowd and walks away, calling for his hunters.
Lin watches him very carefully before adverting her focus back to her mate.
She looks up to her mother, father and sister and frown.
"My love" The poor girl whispers to him gently stroking his cheek
and she sits next to him, laying his head on her lap as everyone surrounds them.
Lin sighs and rests her forehead against his, kissing his cheek before she tries to lift him up.
Eventually Neytiri helps her and they take him and grace to a small medical hut.
Lin sat beside Jakes side the whole time he was out.
She held his hand tightly and slept next to him.
Finally when he woke up she plastered him in kisses but when he started to panic she stopped.
"What's wrong?" He cupped her face with his hands and frowned
"I need to tell you something..."
"Father! Mother!" Lin ran as fast as she could, jake following closely
behind her as they ran up to her parents.
"Eytukan, I have something to say, to everyone."
Jake takes a second to look at all the Omaticaya people.
Neytiri, Koi'tsey, Lin...
"Speak, Jakesully."
"A great evil is upon us. The Sky People are coming to destroy Hometree.
They will be here soon." A murmur of fear and anger goes through the crowd.
"You have to leave, or you will die." Jakes panicked eyes turn quickly to Lin
"Are you certain of this?" Mo'at asks looking to both of her daughters.
Jake took a second before speaking. Not knowing how to tell them.
"They sent me here to learn your ways. So one day I could bring
this message, and you would believe it." Lins eyes travel down to the bracelet
on his wrist before she pushes Jakes shoulder, so he is facing her
"What are you saying, Jake? You knew this would happen?"
Gasps where heard around the crowd. But all Lin could think
about is how he lied to her. He is unable to meet her eyes.
It was true.
"Yes." Lins ears slowly fell down and her eyes became teary.
She couldn't face him. She looked everywhere but his eyes.
"At first it was just orders. Then everything changed.
I fell in love the with the forest, with the Omaticaya People"
He took her hand is his making her look up at him
"with you. And by then, how could I tell you?"
Lin can barely breathe. She is shaking with the enormity of it,
her voice cracking with rage and pain
"I trusted you" She tried pushing his hands away from her
as she pointed her finger in his face "With you...with you"
Jake tried to make this situation better but he knew he couldn't, what's done is done.
"I trusted you!" Lin smacked his hands away "trust me now, please"
her ears flattened and she started to scream at him.
At this point she was crying, tears were running down her face
"you will never be one of the people!"
Grace placed her hand on Jakes shoulder and spoke
"we tried to stop them..." but Lin shut them both down yelling int heir faces
"Lin, please lin!" She shook her head vigorously backing away them.
Mo'at tried taking her hand but she pushed her away.
"How could he...I trusted him" Lin began to cry in her sisters arms as she watched
grace and Jake get put on the floor by Tsu'tey and his warriors.
Neytiri stroked her hair, holding onto her hand tightly.
