Chapter 2

I felt something stir behind me and my eyes flew open. Dominic was busy caressing my hips and curves. He never does things like this. I looked at the alarm clock on the bed stand, it was 9am. What! He's never in bed this late in the morning, he's the type of man that wakes up at around 5am.

I turned around to see him grinning from ear to ear. "Good morning Sleeping Beauty." He said and began to plant tiny kisses on my neck.
Okay, this is the part where I wake up.
Nope, we're still in bed, he's still kissing my neck.

"Please, I probably look like a scarecrow." I chuckled and moved to stand up, but his hands held me back. "A beautiful scarecrow." He said laughingly and I swatted his arm away playfully.

"Why are you wearing this?" He asked and lifted my nightie up a little. He looked so handsome and he still looked a little sleepy. "Diana likes to come barge in the room, and I can't let your mother see me naked!"
He laughed and kissed me softly.

Okay, I'm ready to wake up now.
Nope, we're still in bed, so that means I'm very much awake. What's up with Dom?

I tried to push him back a little and he only chuckled. "Morning breath." I said and he only kissed me again. "I don't care." He said and nibbed my neck, okay, that will definitely leave a mark. "Don't you have work to do?" I asked him in a attempt to stop him but he only shrugged and took of my nightie slowly. "Later." He said.

"Dominic dear! Are you still here?" Diana asked surprised and I chuckled as we came to the kitchen. "I must say, I was shocked myself this morning." I said and poured myself tea and for Dominic coffee. He simply chuckled and kissed me on the cheek before he went outside again.

Diana noticed that he changed as well and she immediately came closer to me. "Don't ask," I said taking a sip. "I am just as surprised by his gestures as you are Diana."
Diana smiled brightly and she gave me a hug. "Oh I hope that he finally opened his eyes and is busy falling in love with you." I faked my smile and felt sad for her.

Oh Diana, you will be so sad to hear that your son could never love me. He told me so on our wedding night. His exact words were, I can never love you Charlie, you are just a business deal. So don't ever expect me to love you. You are just my prize, my possession.

As we sat down in the dining room, Dominic told us that he will have a press conference here at home, and that I would have to present. I sighed again and realised why he was acting all weird this morning. He wanted to soften me up, because he knew that Hawk Summers would be present.

He knew how much I hated that man, and that's why he was so friendly all of the sudden. God, how I hated Dominic right now! I excused myself and went to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and felt the tears escaping my eyes. Hawk Summers is a man I loathe with a passion. He threatened to kill my Nana. And Dominic knew, he freakin knew!

I heard the bedroom door opening and I washed my face. "Charlie?" A voice called. Dom's voice.
"What is it?" I asked, feeling irritated.
He came in the bathroom where I was busy wiping my face with the towel. "God dammit Charlie! You're 26 years old! Grow up! It's just your Dad coming."

That made me see red.

I turned violently towards him. "Shut up! Don't you dare! You know perfectly well how he threatened me! You know how much I hate him! He killed my Mother!"

"Oh don't be a baby!" He argued, coming closer. "Everyone dies! And if I knew how bitchy you are I would've never agreed to marry you!"

"Why didn't you see it sooner huh?! You would've spared us both three miserable years! Instead you thought with your dick and know I'm stuck here with a manwhore!"
