The smell of smoke made its way into my nose. Something is burning. Then I heard the sounds of people shouting and guns firing. My eyes shot open and I jolted up from the bed. The room was full of smoke and I rushed to open the tiny window.
Shit! It won't even open!

It was getting harder to breathe and I went to go bang on the door. "Help! Open up!" I screamed but no one heard me. I began to cough uncontrollable and I touched my stomach. "Don't worry Puppet, Mommy will get us out of here." I whispered and coughed again.

I continued to shout and bang on the door in the hopes that someone would hear me. Who started the fire?
Don't worry, I'll get you both away from there safely.
Dominic's words came back into my head and I sighed a breath of relief. He kept his promise, for once.

It began getting warmer in the room. Oh dear, the fire is coming closer! I panicked again and banged on the door once more. Finally the door opened. Someone came in. Barry.

"Help me." I whispered, my voice hoarse from all the shouting and my throat was on fire. He seemed pissed and then I noticed the gun in his hand. Is he gonna shoot me? I moved cautiously away from him and he smirked.

"Your husband made a huge mistake by sending help for you, little lady, Big Boss will deal with you later." He said and came forward, violently grabbing me by the arm and dragged me outside with him.

They'll kill me! They'll kill my baby! I panicked again and tried to pull away from him, but his grip was strong and soon I could make out the exit of the warehouse. All of the sudden someone grabbed Barry from behind and pulled him away from me.

I could only see silhouettes moving fast and soon Barry fell, dead. I screamed as soon as the big silhouette made its way to me. I turned around and ran.

Call me crazy but I ran deeper into the fire. What if he kills me?! "Wait!" The man's deep voice shouted, but I didn't stop, instead I ran endlessly. Until something fell on me and bumped my forehead. Ouch! That'll definitely leave a mark. I fell down and the lights began to dim out.

The big man came running towards me and picked me up as if I was as light as a feather. I looked up into his eyes. Deep dark chocolate brown eyes. Looks so familiar. He began to walk faster towards another exit and soon we stepped out into the coldness. I put my head on his chest and felt comfort in his warmness. I felt safe.

                          *********

"How is she? Is our baby safe?" A familiar voice asked out of breath, his voice full of worry and concern. Dominic's voice. He's here?
Where am I?

"She's alright, they both are." A deep voice said. The voice belonged to the big guy that saved me from the fire.

"Thank you so much for saving them both." Dominic said and he sounded as if he cried. Please, Dominic never cries, like in never. Nada!

"Don't mention it." The guy said I opened my eyes.

My eyes were sore and I had to blink a few more times before I could see properly. Dominic stood next to my bed and I looked at him. He looked so much older when there is worry on his face. Yep, he definitely cried.

I then looked at my saviour. He had dark hair and deep chocolate brown eyes. He had a beard and he was very tall and muscular. He's probably 6 foot 5 or something. And he looked very dangerous. And extremely handsome. No shut up! Your husband is standing right here!

He then looked straight into my eyes. I then looked up at Dominic and blushed. Yep, that's what I deserve for ogling the guy! Nope, not a guy, this is a man! Ugh shut up!

Dominic then turned to me and gave me a hug. "Oh Charlie, I was so worried about you." He said and I hugged him back awkwardly. "It's okay Dominic." I whispered back and he pulled away, sensing the awkward moment. The big man noticed it too.
