The days been amazing, it's now getting late. Summers left her mince pie and carrot out for Santa and the reindeer's. She's in bed asleep already, I make sure all her presents are under the tree and then Jack comes over and starts kissing my neck, causing small little moans to escape my lips. Soon we're on the sofa, naked and it's amazing. By 11:25, we're in bed, everything is set up downstairs ready for the morning. I'm so excited, the first Christmas as a family.
Christmas Day Jack, Sophie and Summer are awake by 7:30, Jacks carrying Summer as they all head downstairs to check if Santa's been. When Summer sees all the presents she gets so excited. They tell Summer, she can open her stocking but needs to have breakfast before her other presents. At 9am, there's a knock at the door and it's Jack parents, they've brought the presents round and it's amazing. It's a perfect family Christmas, Sophie has never felt so happy. After the presents, Sophie heads to the kitchen, Karen insists on helping but Sophie reassures her she's okay and most of it is already prepped, she says to enjoy time with Summer. Truthfully, Sophie just wants some time alone, she's loving every moment of this day but it's overwhelming, she's never experienced anything like this before. She's never had this, she's feeling emotional about it all. While the dinners cooking, Sophie stands in the doorway to the garden with it open to get some fresh air. She's brought out of her thoughts when she hears "Soph, what's up babe?" It was Jack, she discreetly wipes away the few tears that had fell and turns around smiling "just getting air baby. I'm fine" she says and he laughs replying "I may be stupid sometimes but when it comes to you babe, I know when somethings up. I'm your husband I know ya too well, like I also know you've been crying but you wiped the tears in the hope I wouldn't notice, but your eyes always glisten differently when ya been crying" Sophie is shocked by what he says. She didn't realise he knew her that well, he opens his arms for Sophie and she hugs him tight, "I'm just overwhelmed babe, I've never had this like ever, I'm so happy with how my life's gone. It's like perfect. It's just hormones making me overthink it all that's all" she says honestly and vulnerably. He smiles and kisses her "don't overthink anything, you're a Grealish now, we do big family things. You've got all of us now all in your side. I've got the most beautiful wife ever, who is amazing and has given me a beautiful daughter and carrying out new baby. You're all I will ever want or need" Jack says reassuring her. This is all she needs as this calms her down and she finishes Christmas dinner. Soon they've all eaten and Kevin and Karen, have done the tidying, Summers asleep in Jacks arms and Sophie is sorting out her toys. It's been an amazing day, her first Christmas as a Grealish, and she can't wait for more.
