Chapter 66

Sophie POV:
Within 30 minutes of the comment to Jack, the door knocks and I open it to see Jack the other side. I smile and let him in "have you not got your keys?" I ask and he shrugs "it didn't feel right just letting myself in Soph. Are you all okay?" I smile and nod "we're all okay, and you could've used the key, it's your house." He hands me a bag from the shop, I look inside and see the popcorn, then I see a bag of malteasers and haribos. He smiles and says "you always say no movie night is complete without malteasers or haribos." I laugh and thank him. We head inside and to the kitchen, I tell him the children are getting pyjamas on and we actually skipped bath time. I hand him the tacos on the plate, he looks at me confused then says "I can't take the plate with me." I laugh and say "eat them here, if you eat them in the car you'll get in a mess, at least here you can change clothes if you get messy which you usually do." He laughs and tucks in, getting messy like predicted. We laugh then Summer and Max come running in hugging him tight.
Once he's finished, he heads upstairs to change tops, I tell him to leave the dirty one in the basket. He comes down and puts his shoes on. Summer says "are you going to watch the movie daddy?" He hugs her tight and says "daddy only came for a taco and I brought the popcorn you wanted, it's a movie night with mummy." I interrupt and say "if you wanted to join us then you could, as long as you don't have plans." He looks shocked but even I'm shocked by what I said but I do mean it, he's their dad and it's nice seeing him. "Are ya sure soph?" He asks as I smile and nod. "As long as we're not interrupting any other plans." He laughs "nothings more important than this." I smile and he tells Summer and Max to go get comfy. "Thank you Soph, this means so much to me." I smile and we head to sit down. After the first movie, both Summer and Max are asleep and Elliot needs a feed. I get Jacks attention and say "Carry them to bed or feed Elliot?" He giggles and says "can I feed Elliot, if that's okay?" I nod and hand him Elliot, "you're his dad, of course you can. The break will be appreciated, he definitely takes after you with eating, it's all he does." Jack burst out laughing and I get butterflies hearing that laugh.
I tuck both children into bed, I get back downstairs to see Jack talking away to Elliot. It's so cute to listen to, I head back into the front room and say "would you like another drink?" He says "as long as it's okay for me to leave my car here overnight." I laugh and say "you know that's fine J"
We're sitting on the sofa and I've put another film on, I turn to look at Jack who's already looking at me. I giggle and he says "you're beautiful" I smile and thank him, then I feel the gap between our faces get smaller and next thing I know I'm kissing him passionately. I know he's my husband and it's okay to kiss him but it feels so naughty for some reason, I get closer and closer. We both pull away and look at each other and then kiss again, soon I'm straddled on his lap and I know I need him now. I pull his top over his head and it's like I forgot how sexy my husband was. I rock back and forth on his crutch, he looks at me and says "are you sure Soph?" I nod immediately "I need you now J." That's all it takes and he's inside me, it feels amazing.
Once we're finished, we're both breathless and I just cuddle into him. I lay on his chest and listen to his heartbeat. I look up and say "we should get cleaned up. I'll jump in the shower if you can bring Elliot upstairs and put him in the cot, then you can shower if you want to." He smiles and nods, squeezing me in a big one more time and kissing my forehead.
Once we're both showered and everything sorted for Elliot during the night. Jack gets dressed and says "I better get going, I don't want to over stay my welcome. It's been an amazing night, we should talk soon." I nod and say "we can talk tomorrow but would you stay?" He looks at me like he's double checking what I've just said, I smile and say "we've been apart 2 weeks and I could really do with one of your amazing Grealish cuddles." He grins and pulls his top off, getting into bed "I love a cuddle" he says wrapping his arms around me, laying here in his arms is the happiest I've felt in ages.
I soon feel myself falling asleep, just before I fully dose I feel Jack kiss my cheek and whisper "I love you more than you'll ever know." And with that I fall into a deep sleep.
-The next morning-
I wake up and Jacks not in bed, I look at my phone and it's 7:30am, I'm shocked I've slept this long, especially that the children haven't woken up. I look into Elliot's cot and it's empty, then I hear voices from downstairs and realise Jacks got up with the children this morning.
I head downstairs and say good morning to them all. "You should've woken me, you didn't need this stress before training, you've got a big match coming up." I say and he grins "you've kept up with the scores and that?" He asks shocked, I nod "course I have, you've got the Super cup final coming up, I'm proud of you." He smiles and hugs me "it's in Greece though so it means I have to fly out tomorrow." We talk more about the team and the upcoming matches.
By 8:30am, it's time for Jack to go to training, luckily enough he had clothes here. He said goodbye to the children, I walk him to the door. "Can we talk tonight Soph?" I smile and nod at him "I'd like that, what about over some dinner?" I say and he grins "sounds perfect, mum and dad can have the kids and I'll book somewhere nice for us, you deserve a break and a treat. You do amazing with the children, I realised this morning just how hard it is with 3, and that was only for like an hour." He say and I laugh, he hugs me and I peck his lips.
Jack POV:
I called my parents on the way to training to one apologise for not letting them know I wasn't coming back but they understood, I also arranged for them to have the children so me and Sophie can go out tonight and talk.
I park up and see John, Kyle, Phil and Kalvin all talking, I walk over to them and I have to admit I'm happier today, John says "woah, what's happened to the Jack we've had for the last 2 weeks, you're all happy and smiling today?" I laugh and say "I am happy today boys" Kyle says "must've been an amazing taco then." He says laughing. I grin and say "Taco turned into family movie night, which ended up in us 2 watching a movie and me staying the night." They all cheer and Phil says "with a grin like that you done more than sleep." I shrug and laugh as we walk inside. "We're going to dinner tonight to talk, but last night was the closest I've felt to my wife in a long time even before the split."
