Throughout high school, Second Coming, or Orange as she preferred, never really thought much of her future.
She liked to paint and draw, joining her school's art club and helping out with any art related projects; people even said she was good, but she hadn't ever thought about a future in art.
People like that just sat on benches or in fields, painting the scenery, which wasn't something that interested her long term.
During her last week of school though, she was called to the headmaster's office where she was offered a place at the same college her brothers attended; a man called Alan offering her a place on his art course.
Orange was told to talk to her brothers (since they didn't have parents and the rest of their family didn't keep in touch), but she'd already made her decision, which she told the headmaster the next day.
Chosen One and Dark Lord, her two older brothers, had been overjoyed, and not just at not having to travel two towns over every week just to make sure Orange was doing okay.
----------
After two weeks of preparation, graduation, and lots of phone calls, Orange found herself stood in front of the college where she'd be living for the next four years.
She had a small pile of bags next to her, plus one over her shoulder; and the paper Dark gave her on his and Chosen's last visit with a messily drawn map to their dorm, and to reception.
Orange sighed and gathered up all her bags, struggling to carry them all and still see Dark's map, she wished they could've met up with her, but they both had classes neither could get out of; not even to meet their sister.
"Oh, hey is that a map?" someone asked, startling her and causing her to drop most of her bags. "Oops, sorry."
A brown haired boy picked up some of her bags, smiling kindly at her as he did. "I'm looking for the reception," he explained. "You'd think they'd have signs or arrows for newb's, huh."
"'Newb's.'" Orange repeated, neon green eyes twinkling in amusement. "That's where I'm going too." she said, showing him the paper.
"Don't laugh at me..." he grumbled, scowling at her, then glanced at the paper and frowned. "I... can't read this."
Orange burst out laughing at that, Dark's drawing wasn't that bad. "It's just over there," she nodded to a set of double doors with a sign above saying 'ENTRANCE', while she tried to figure out how he missed it.
