Throughout high school, Second Coming, or Orange as she preferred, never thought much of her future.
She liked to draw, and paint, joining her school's art club and helping out with any projects; people said she was good, but she hadn't ever thought about a future in art.
People like that just sat on benches or in fields, painting the scenery, which wasn't something that interested her long term.
During her last week of school though, she was called to the headmaster's office where she was offered a place at the same college her brothers attended; a man called Alan asking if she wanted to join his art course.
Orange was told to talk to her brothers (since they didn't have parents), but she already made up her mind on enrolling, which she told the headmaster the next day.
Chosen One and Dark Lord, her older brothers, had been overjoyed, and not just at not having to travel two towns over every weekend just to make sure Orange was doing okay.
----------
After two weeks of preparations, graduation, and lots of phone calls, Orange found herself stood in front of the college she'd be living at for the next four years.
She had a bunch of bags next to her, including one over her shoulder, and the paper Dark sent her with a messily drawn map to their dorm, and to reception.
Orange sighed and picked up all her bags, struggling to carry them and still see Dark's map.
"Oh, hey is that a map?" someone asked, startling her and causing her to drop most of her bags. "Oops, sorry."
A brunette boy picked up some of her bags, smiling kindly at her as he did.
"I'm looking for the reception," he admitted. "You'd think they'd have signs or arrows for newb's, huh."
"'Newb's.'" Orange repeated, neon green eyes twinkling in amusement. "That's where I'm going too." she said, showing him the paper.
He just scowled at Orange.
"Don't laugh at me..." he grumbled, even though she hadn't been, and looked at the map, then frowned. "I can't read this."
Orange burst out laughing at that, Dark's drawing wasn't that bad.
"It's just over there," she said, nodding to a set of double doors with a sign above saying 'ENTRANCE', while she wondered how he could've missed it.
