The next day, Ray tried to avoid Norman as much as he could. He knew Norman wouldn't mention it around anyone, so he tried to stick around Emma. Eventually, Emma had to leave eventually, talking with Mujika, so Norman and Ray were alone again.
"Ray-" Norman started, only to be interrupted.
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again." Ray tried to walk off.
"Ray!" Norman grabbed his shoulder, "Let's just... talk."
Ray kept his eyes averted. He hated talking, and he definitely didn't want to talk about this. He refused to face Norman.
Norman sat on the log next to the fire and pulled Ray down beside him. His expression was unreadable. Ray still wouldn't look at him. Norman took Ray's hand in his.
"I love you, Ray."
Ray's eyes widened and he looked over, wondering whether or not Norman was messing with him.
Norman put his hands on Ray's face hesitantly and pulled his face to his until they were inches apart.
"Truly," Norman smiled, their lips meeting.
The kiss lasted an entire minute. Both boys were smiling when it ended. Ray's face reddened and he backed away a little bit. Norman took both of Ray's hands in his own and gently nudged his forehead with his own.
