AT THE PARK

It's been 15 minutes since I reached in the park. Sitting on the bench at the midnight wasn't the best thing for sure. I held my overcoat closer to get some heat. Whole park was empty, obviously it's midnight and only a drunk or dumb person would come here at this hour. The memories of the past few minutes flew in my head.

"It's me"

I couldn't believe my own ears. It was him. It was my childhood best friend. The one who knew me.The one who made me happiest. I was silent for awhile. Then spoke

"You bitch. Where have you been whole past month? I missed you so much. I thought you would be in contact. How are you? Where were you so bus-"

" Gosh, calm down criz"

He cut me off, I stood there while holding a big smile on my face. He always managed to make me smile.

"Where are you now?"
Hearing his question, I looked around the cafe I was standing at.
I told my address to him.

"Meet me at the nearest park. I'll be there in a minute"

"You're really coming to meet me?"
I didn't hide my shock from him. He chuckled from the other side and said a yes. I could feel him fumbling around for his car keys. I took a taxi from there because it's really cold and I'm lazy to walk.

From my spherical vision, I saw someone walking from the park gate. He was dressed in all black and the lack of light made it blur for me to see his face. But when he was close enough I saw him. He was finally standing infront of me.
I jumped forward in his arms, wrapped myself around him like a cola. He chuckled and whispered.

"Missed me?"
I moved away.Slightly hitting his shoulder, I made a poker face.

"Why would I miss you?"
He sat on the bench. Grabbing my hand and making me sit too. I kept my head on his shoulder while staring at stars. This felt good. He was the only person I had trusted so much. He felt like my own brother. We had that brother sister bond from childhood. Everyone who passed by us thought we were in a serious relationship and we never corrected them. It was all fun back then. His words made me snap out of my train of thoughts.

"I'm sorry for not contacting. I lost my phone and wasn't able to get your number"

I nodded my head.We stayed like that for an hour while catching up with random things. I told him abt jimin too. He tensed up little on his mention but shrugged it off telling it's really cold. I never minded that.
My eyelids felt heavy at this time.
I stood up with my black hand bag.

"Are you free tomorrow?"
He shrugged and nodded

"Yeah, just at this time. I'll be leaving day after tomorrow. Was here for two days."

I frowned at his words. He is leaving soon. Seeing my sad face he stood up from the bench and enveloped me in a big hug.

" Don't worry, I'll be in contact this time"

"You sure be.Or I'll kill you"

He raised his hand and said
" No way in the hell I'm dying by a small kid"

I stomped my foot on his, making him growl in pain. Laughing at his situation I made my way to the apartment. He ran behind me, while I was walking faster to get away. It was fun to be like this around him.
Finally when he catched me near his car, he spoke

"I'm dropping you off. Sit"
I opened the passenger seat door and slumped my tired body on the seat. The car looked neat and comfortable. I heard the door close
Beside me and ryle started driving.
I placed my head on the seat while closing my eyes. It's 3 in the morning.

"So where are you staying now?"
He asked while staring at the road infront.

"It's just been a month, I won't change my apartment that fast.
I am not looking forward to change tho.The rent is fine with both of us"

I felt him nodding.We stayed quite after that. He stopped his car infront of my apartment and looked in my side. LI was barely keeping my eyes open. Getting out of the car, I stumbled again.

"Be careful"

I gently nodded.
"Sure buddy, gotta see you tomorrow, good night"

He smiled and went away. I just stood there staring at his car. The best day of my life. Smiling to myself I made my way to apartment
Clicking the door open with my extra key. I went inside. Throwing my overcoat on the sofa, I layed on it and drifted in a deep slumber.

The next morning came by faster than I expected, I heard shufflings from kitchen and understood allysa was making breakfast.

"You know, your room is waste"
I rubbed my eyes while sitting. I took my surroundings in, sunshine was peeking through the window.
I stood up and went to open the window to it let it through. Gentle breeze flew my hair, it was all so refreshing. I couldn't believe I slept at 3am and still feeling so refreshed. I can feel the glare that allysa was giving me through the kitchen but I ignored and made my way to bedroom. After doing my normal routine I headed towards dining table. My eyes peeked at allysa who was silently eating her bread. She was never silent. I expected her to be angry, cuz the way I behaved with her wasn't really the best. But I'm always like that and she always knew that. When she didn't spoke for awhile, I decided to ask.

"Hey there, you doing okay?"
She glanced up from her breakfast towards me. Nodding her head gently, her hands continued the moment of mixing the sugar in her milk.

"You might want to ask questions?"
I asked while moving my empty plate away. Finally she opened her mouth.
"I do but don't have enough time"

"So you're not pissed?"
I asked urgently cuz I was late too.
She shook her head.

"Why would I be?" I know you were being a bitch but I don't mind."
I rolled my eyes while standing up and getting my hand bag. She did with hers too and we went on our paths.
