I turned my head back to the forest, Sezila wailing softly as the tears streamed down my cheeks.
"It's okay Terina." Kiri flew next to me, her eyes teary, she was also leaving behind her birth mother, she felt what I felt. We were one.
"We will see them again. I know it."
I dropped my head down and rested against my Ikran, sighing deeply as I tried to think that what we were doing would work out in the end.
My hair blew in the strong wind, I let out a groan as Sezila struggled against the wind.
"Come on my girl." I tapped her but she let out a shriek, startling Kiri's Ikran as they sped faster through the sky.

As soon as my feet hit the sand I felt as if I was being judged, like I was an outcast.
"Tonowari. Oel ngati kameie." Jake and Tomowari greeted each other, I followed his gesture as well as everyone else did, I noticed two boys, possibly my age, possibly older, they just smirked and giggled as they looked at us, not giving us the same respect back.
My tail swayed and Neteyam pushed me behind him.
"Easy... Easy." Jake spoke to us.
"Is that supposed to be a tail?" One of them grabbed Neteyam's tail and I hissed, their attention turned to me and the taller one cocked his head.
"Tìlor." Beauty. I hissed again and placed myself in front of Neteyam again.
"Terina." He whispered and I scolded at him.
"How are they supposed to swim?" The smaller one asked and I felt Neteyam push me to Lo'ak.
"Do not. Roxto, Aonung." I heard a girl's voice as she scolded them, what looked like the adult version of her appearing through the crowd.
"Why do you come to us, Jake Sully?" Tonowari questioned, i zoned out, looking up at Neteyam as I felt tears form in my eyes.
"Do not cry. It is okay."
"How will they swim? You will be no use to us in the water. Your tails are thin." I saw Ronal twirling Kiri's tail in her hand.
"Don't touch me." Kiri grabbed her tail back.
"Your hands... you are not even real Na'vi." She grabbed Lo'ak's hands and then mine.
"You are." I pulled my hands back from her.
"Look." Jake held up his hands.
"You can adapt. I adapted. We will adapt."
"Dad? Do we have to go?" Tuk asked tiredly.
"My husband was Toruk Makto. He lead the clans to victory among the sky people." Neytiri hissed, her head high, Ronal began to stalk up to her, face to face.
"This you call victory? Hiding? It seems Eywa has turned her back on you. Chosen one."
At the same time, Neytiri and I hissed, Ronal hissing back, I moved forward and Neytiri put her hand in front of me, sensing I would be there.
"I apologies for my mate, and for Terina. They are-" Jake started.
"Jake."
"Ver-"
"Do not apologize for me-" Neytiri warned.
"Both very tired. They have flown a long way."
I huffed, my tail swaying as I paved my way back to Neteyam.
"You have come a long way." Tonowari turned to his people.
"We have heard about the war of the sky people, but we... are not at war."
"We don't want war." Jake started.
"I just want to keep my family safe." He shook his head, holding Tuk to his chest.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Teach them, so they do not suffer the feeling of being useless."

"This is great... right?" Jake spun around as we entered the Maruis.
I gave a nod as I found a space for me, Neytiri threw her things down on the floor and I understood she was still mad at Jake for speaking for her.
"My father said to rest for today, your learning will begin tomorrow." The girl, Tsireya, spoke, she scanned the room and gave me a soft smile.
I returned the smile and Lo'ak placed his things down next to me.
"Thank you Tsireya." Jake nodded and she waved us goodbye.
"Do you think we'll be liked here?" Lo'ak asked me and I turned to him.
"I think you're amazing so you should not worry what anyone else thinks."
He smiled for the first time today and nodded, just as Jake told us to all "huddle in."
"I am asking you all, please. Be on your best behavior." He pleaded, his eyes mainly focusing on Lo'ak's and mine.
"No getting in trouble. We're here and we're safe so we can't afford to mess this up. Hear me?"
I gave him a nod.
"Pull your weight, do your chores. Be willing to learn."
"Yes sir." Lo'ak mumbled.
"I want to go home." Tuk started to cry.
"Tuk." Neytiri took her daughter in her arms and I crawled over to her, comforting her.
"This is our home for now baby." Jake soothed, letting out a sigh as he turned to all of us again.
"You all watch out for each other. This family is all we need."
"What does your father always say?" Neytiri asked.
"Sully's stick together." We chorused.
"Alright, now this time with a bit more effort."
Neteyam nudged Kiri, who was fiddling with her hair.
"Sully's stick together."
"Now get of here, go explore."
