I rested my head against the rock behind me, supporting my body as I watched the ocean, I spotted Kiri over by the sandbank, she was staring into the shallow water, occasionally coming up for air, and to the far side of me was Jake and Tuk, they were feeding ilu's, I watched as she threw it into their mouths and grabbed her hand back, laughing.
My head was turned as I watched Kiri surrounded by Aonung and his friends, my ears perked up as I heard their conversation and I stormed up to them, their backs turned to me as they continued to torment Kiri.
"Are you some sort of... freak?" Aonung asked and his friends burst out laughing.
"He asked if you were a freak." Rotxo joined and her face lightened as soon as she spotted me, I placed her behind me, my tail swaying as I stared at all of them.
"Here is the other freak." Aonung smirked and i hissed at him, baring my teeth as I stepped closer to him, he stumbled back.
"Leave us alone." I told him and Kiri and I began to walk off, until I felt the tug of my tail.
I grabbed it from Tisil's grasp and shoved him away from the two of us.
"Leave us alone." I repeated.
"Come on, we are just having fun." Aonung put his hands either side of him.
"You don't want to have fun with us?" He smirked, stepping a bit closer when I felt a hand grip around my wait and saw a muscular hand in front of me, on Aonung's chest.
"Hey, back off fish lips." I turned to see Lo'ak, his hand still holding me tightly in his grip.
"Oh, another four-fingered freak." Aonung laughed.
"Little baby tail." Roxto added, circling the two of us.
"Leave us alone." Kiri yelled from the outside, I let out a sigh of relief as I realised she was away.
"Ahhh, baby tail." Tisil laughed and Lo'ak shoved them all away with one hand, pointing at them as he pulled me closer to him.
"Get away."
"Why do you hang out with these demons?" Aonung asked me, a smirk still sitting on his lips.
"They are not demons. Go away Aonung."
Before Aonung was able to push Lo'ak around the circle again, Neteyam appeared, his locks swinging as he spun him around to face him, his face relatively calm but somehow angry at the same time.
"You heard what she said. Leave them alone." His accent thickened, his eyes staring coldly into Aonung's as he stood in front of Lo'ak and I.
"Ah big brother come-" Tisil started but Aonung stopped him, I had hoped he had finally came to his senses.
"Back. Off." Neteyam said through gritted teeth, Anoung looked past him and at me, giving me that sick smirk again. Neteyam moved his head so he blocked Aonung's eye-line.
"Now."
The chief's son held his hands up, letting us all know he meant no harm.
"Smart choice." Neteyam told him.
"And from now on, I need you to respect my sister." He pointed to Kiri.
Tisil hissed from next to Aonung, who stopped him once again, Neteyam pointed to me, his eyes staring down Aonung as he tried to look at me.
"Don't look at her, look at me."
Aonung's eyes found mine, I looked away instantly.
"Let's go." Neteyam mumbled, pushing his brother's head and myself to Kiri, who was waiting for us, she wrapped an arm around me.
"Bye!" Tisil waved sarcastically.
"They're all freaks... all of them." Aonung laughed and I stopped walking.
"Terina. Let's go." Neteyam called and i put my hand up to silence him.
"Wait a minute." I told him and turned to Aonung.
"Kurkung. Nìtam." Asshole. Enough.
It went silent.
"You stay here in my village. You respect me." Aonung roughly grabbed my shoulder, I snarled and pushed it away from me, trying to keep calm as much as I could, A hand went flying past me, balled into a fist and sent it flying straight to Aonung's face.
"It's called a punch, bitch!"
