I went to Shane's contact to ask him to hangout.

You live in y/t (your town), right?

Shane:Yeah! Violet just told me you live there too?

Why is she so quick ???

Yeah! I live over by the mall

Shane: You don't live far from me at all

What school do you go to?

Shane: y/s (your school)

How have I actually never seen you??

Shane: I just moved schools a week ago

That makes more sense now

Shane: yeah

'YOUR GETTING OFF TRACK. FOCUS.' I mentally lectured myself

I wanted to ask you if you want to hangout eventually?

As soon as I sent that I threw my phone down and ran across to the other side of my room.

Shane's POV: (thought Id give it a try)

Y/N: I wanted to ask if you want to hangout eventually?

I got up from my bed and set my phone down backing up, she meant normal hangout out right? Either way it wouldn't be too ba- NO.

She fully means a normal hangout, like friends do, nothing more. So I walked back to my phone and responded to her.

Your POV:
I had still been standing across from my room and was staring at my phone from a distance.

I heard it buzz and I slightly flinched, mostly scared to see what he was going to say.

I slowly walked over to my phone and picked it up, flipping it over to see what he had said

Shane: Sure! When and where?

I set my phone back down and fell face down in my pillow, just happy that I didn't embarrass myself.

I thought about when and where. Maybe a movie? I've cream? I don't know, both of those sound like dates..

Y'know what. Fuck it.

Mabye ice cream or a movie?

Shane: how about both?

Even better

Shane: I'm free anytime so it's up to you

After school tomorrow?

Shane: sounds great :)

I was mentally screaming, it truly sounded like a date, I knew it wasn't but it still sounded like it.

It was the next morning, i was exhausted, I couldn't sleep all night. Mostly because of the conversation I had just went through with Shane.
