Roadtrip- Part Twenty-Five

"I love you" he whispered to me in the hug.

"I love you too Shane" I whispered back

My mom yelled for me to get in the car again and Shane grabbed my cheek and quickly kissed me again.

I smiled and said my goodbye one more time and got into the car.

The second the car started moving I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

I checked and Shane had already texted me.

I set my phone down and plugged my phone into the aux chord "what do you want to listen to ma?" I asked her.

"Just some classic rock" she said

I put on the playlist and had it slightly quiet, I knew she would adjust the volume if she wanted to.

When I moved my hand she turned up the volume so that it was blasting the music.

I leaned my chair back a little and grabbed my blanket I stuffed in the front seat with me.

I tried my best to get some good sleep that I really needed, I had been sleeping on hardwood floors or about a week.

I fell asleep for about an hour before feeling the car come to a stop

I rubbed my eyes and looked around, my mom was at the side of the car and pumping gas.

She looked at me and smiled, she opened the door and said "you can go into the gas station and get snacks if you want" she said handing me 15 dollars.

I smiled and said thank you, I slid my shoes back on and got out of the car.

I walked into the gas station and started looking around, I picked up chips, candy and a drink for both me and my mom.

I walked up to the counter and set all the stuff down.

The guy looked at me with a weird grossed out look and kept scanning my stuff.

"Have a nice day" he said frustrated when he gave me the bag.

"Yeah yeah" I said annoyed, giving him the same energy back to him.

I sat back down in the car were my mom had already sat down in the driver seat.

I gave her the stuff that I picked up for her and we started driving again, I checked my phone and Shane had called me once

I gave the aux to my mom and called him back.

After two rings he picked up "hiii" I heard from the other side

"Heyyy" I replied

"How's it going?" He asked

"Good, just had our first stop at the gas station, right now we're somewhere next to Tacoma" I said looking to my mom, slightly asking if I was right, she nodded.

"Oh nice" he said exited, I could hear the smile in his voice.

"How long do you guys have left of the car ride?" He asked me
