We Only See Each Other at Weddings And Funerals pt.5

We all headed inside to the kitchen as five, another one of klaus' brothers, was hungry. He heads over to a cabinet and asks "what is the date? The exact date."

" the 24th of march" I say staring at the handsome boy in front of me. No Nahalie don't think like that. I mean he wouldn't be able to tell why I am staring at him cus everyone is as he has been gone for so many years they thought he was dead.

"Good" he pulls out some bread. All the hargreeves are staring at five. Klaus is on the table with me on his right also sat on the table. Diego behind me standing and Luther in front on a chair. Vanya and Alison to the right of klaus Alison standing behind the chair Vanya is sat on.

"So are we going to talk about what just happened.?" Luther asked. I would like to know but I feel like I am intruding. Five continued to make his sandwich not even acknowledging that he had heard the question. "It's been 17 year." Luther says standing up and walking in front of Five.

Five scoffs and says " it's been a lot longer than that. " he teleports past Luther in front of the shelves and searches for something from the top one

"I haven't missed that." Luther admits grumpily.

" where'd you go? " Diego asked five. He found what he was looking for and teleported back to the table

"The future. It's shit, by the way"

I snap my fingers pointing at five as if I have figured something key about him. he looks up to see what I am doing curious "I knew it Diego pay up." He then raises an eyebrow amused.

" fine, fine. I'll pay you later Nahalie. " diego said batting me away until he literally pushed me off the table and he took my old spot. I was toppling over head probably going to hit the ground but when I don't I notice five caught me and is helping me stand up properly. Cute. When I stood up again five went back to making his sandwich.

"I should've listen to the old man. you know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." He grabbed something out of the fridge for his sandwich while saying this. It honestly made sense what he was saying.

" that makes sense" I said surprised never really thinking of myself as good at science though I have been told by others that I am. Five have me a half smile before his gaze shifted to klaus.

Five looked up at klaus properly and clearly saw the skirt as he said "nice dress"

"Oh well, danke." Klaus said flattered five complimented his outfit.

" wait how did you get back? " Vanya asked five

" in the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time. " I kind of understood that. But by the looks of it the others didn't.

"That makes no sense." Diego said.

"well, it would if you were smarter" five said cockily which I couldn't help but laugh at. What!? The comeback was great and diego's reaction was priceless. He got up fast clearly about to attack five but Luther stopped him. And when five saw me still laughing he gave me a playful wink which helped my laughter die out.

"How long were you there?" Luther asked still blocking Diego passage to Five.

" forty-five years. Give or take. " five said so casually my eyes widened realising his conscience's age is like 40 years away from my conscience's age but our bodies ages are like 1 year apart. Shit why do I care? I let my eyes to back to their normal side. Luther and Diego sat back down. Everyone looked surprised.

"So what are you saying? That you're 60?" Luther asked realising how long he has gone on without them.

" If so what is your skin routine? Seriously. " Klaus said that which I couldn't help but giggle at it.
