Apologies for not updating my love life has been hella hectic and I needed to get my grades up but they still ass anyway 🤷🏾‍♀️

Cam POV June 19th Monday

"What do you think about marriage?" I asked Mari.

She looked at me then back at the TV.

"I think it's something you should do if your serious about it."

"Okay let me rephrase it then. How do you feel about it?" Mari shifted then turned the TV off and turned to me.

"I feel that marriage should be something you should cherish. A deep bond between two people that can never be broken. Marriage should be filled with love, laughs, jokes, honesty, trust, happiness, patience, and allat. But then there would be the arguments and stuff because no marriage is perfect. If you're 100% sure that the person your with is the one you want to marry then go ahead. When you say your vows I feel like that's something you should uphold. Like treat your vows how you would treat something delicate. Treat them with respect, uphold them so that the love two people share will still be blazing. Marriage is like a fire you take a stick, rock, whatever it is and you try to get the fire ablaze. After a couple of minutes the sparks fly but that just the start. You get the flame alive but then it dies out so what do you do?,"

She asked looking at me. "You try again?"

"Exactly so you try it again but it takes you longer this time. It dies out but you have patience you have the trust to believe in the fire. You keep trying over and over until finally you get it. The fire is small but it's still a fire. The wind blows the flame you think it's out again but it gets bigger. It keeps getting bigger and bigger..." She kept explaining and I just listened.

After a couple more minutes she finished and I asked how she felt about public proposing.

"I'm alright with it I mean if I feel like ion wanna marry you I'ma say no and if I do I'ma say yes. Fuck yo feelings I ain't boutta sugarcoat nun cause you chose to propose in public."

I chuckled a lil at that. "Alright well whatchu want to eat?" "Mmm well yo baby want barbecue." She said smiling shyly. "And barbecue he shall get. Where youw ant it from?"

For mari's gender reveal party we had a plane go up in the sky and release whatever color smoke that was the gender of the baby's. Everyone was there my whole family excluding my mom's side and her. Mari's family was there she had a lot of people on her side.

The clean up was tiring. Beer bottles everywhere, 1800, Henny, Remy, D'ussé, Cîroc, and more plus some cigarettes. I found a couple underwear and bras out there too.

Just nasty. Ion know where they came from either or who. Me and Lucas have gotten closer to tracking down CJ and Alex with the help of Ash.

I'm starting a family I can't have them alive. I don't know about Derek though he seems misunderstood but he still gon die.

Just the way of life.

"The one on Jefferson BLVD."

"RibTown?" "Yeah that one." "Ok areyou coming or are you staying?" I asked her getting up. "I'll come lemme get dressed."

"Hey um can you come get Apollo for me please?" Ana asked me pleadingly.

"Uh yea sure. But why?" It's not that ion wanna spend time with my child it's that why don't you? It's your turn.

"Can you get him or not? You know what I'll just call my mom t-"

"I'm on the way." I said and hung up. I got the food off the counter after they called my name then went to the car.

I sat the food in the back and got in the driver's seat. For some unknown reason it decided to get cold. I turned the heater on and sighed.

"I gotta go get Apollo." I said looking at Mari. "Okay." She said nodding while looking at me. I smiled a lil.

"What?" She asked giggling a little bit while smiling. "Nothing I'm just happy you decided to stay with me and that your okay with all this." I said grabbing her hand.

She started playing with my fingers. "I was gon stay with you regardless I just had to get all my anger out on you and of course I'm okay with it as long as there's no feelings between you and Ana I'm cool and everyone's cool right?"

"Yeah. You'll make a great mom." I said as I interlocked our fingers and kissed the back of her hand. "I love you." "I love you to papi." I'm not gon lie I blushed a lil when she called me that.

I started the car and made my way to Ana's house.

I heard arguing as me and mariw walked up to the door.

I grabbed the extra spear key from on top of the door frame. The arguing was loud and so was Apollo's crying.

I let Amari walk in first then I walked in.

Mari POV

Ion know what happened all I remember is walking in Ana's house with stuff knocked down, Two people arguing, and Apollo's crying.

Next thing I know there's blood on the floor, Apollo and Ana screaming and crying and cam holding a gun, and dude holding his shoulder screaming in pain.

"WHY WOULD YOU SHOOT HIM?!?!?!" Ana said in the midst of her crying and wailing.

"chill out I only shot him in his shoulder," She said nonchalantly.

"Anyways what the fuck y'all got going on? You got niggas beating on you and shi! look at ya face, all fucked up! You got my son sitting up in here screaming his head off! So I'ma shoot first and ask questions later!" Cam yelled at Ana.

"IT'S NOT EVEN LIKE THAT FR!"

Chile you look a mess.

"Oh really tell me how it is then! Go ahead."

Not my problem. not my business. I grabbed Apollo out his crib and tried calming him down.

"Man they making my head hurt." I said talking to Apollo.

"Man don't tell me no bullshit like that! This nigga was boutta touch my son and ion take that kindly. He lucky I only shoot his shoulder fr."

He told was yelling a whole lot trying to get cam's attention while still trying to stop the bullet wound from bleeding. I had to hold back a laugh cause he was funny looking.

"On my momma I'ma beat yo ass when my shoulder heals." 

"Mari go get Apollo's stuff and wait for me in the car." I nodded and started grabbing his stuff.

I piled it in his diaper bag then walked out to the car.

Not my business.

Cam POV

"Since you wanna defend this nigga so bad go ahead and be with him. But you not seeing Apollo till I feel like you should." I told her getting ready to walk out.

She didn't even acknowledge what i said cause she was to busy playing nurse to stop the bullet wound.

He was on the verge of passing out. He looked pale and shit but that wasn't my problem.

I walked over to him and he flinched back. I pressed my thumb into his wound as he screamed out in agony.

"If I see you again best believe I'm putting a bullet between yo eyes. Straight through ya periosteum to yo skull passing through ya brain then I'ma set yo ass on fire."

I'ma end this book soon.
