Chapter 28

Cameron's POV Jan 29th

My body hurts. My body burns when I move a type of way. I can't let out a laugh without a sharp pain running through me. Hospital food nasty as fuck. I had salmon yesterday it was not seasoned. It was dry as hell it looked like it had seasoning but it didn't taste like it.

I was highly pissed off. So Amari been cooking for me which I greatly appreciate her for that. The doctor said I should try and walk around everyday for about an hour so the pain could be bearable.

Who's last name is longbottom? I would change my last name if that was me. Me and Amari were supposed to go live when she got here. Our managers basically demanded us to seeing as it is our career we have to.

"Here." Amari said walking in. "Thank you what'd you make today?" "Huevos Rancheros." "And that is?" "American term, ranch-style eggs." "What's in it?" "Fried eggs, tortillas, salsa, cheese, and meat. Well that's how I do mine." She said shrugging.

"Ooo periooddd." I said dragging it out. "Shut up." She said letting out a giggle which caused me to laugh a lil too, but then I stopped. "So like there's no ranch on there right?" I asked for clarification. "No there's no ranch." I nodded and opened up the container.

"Smells delicious." Its making my mouth water a bit. You know when yo food boutta be good when yo mouth start watering before you could even take a bite. "Lemme get your phone." I told her. "Why?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Cause I ain't got mine and I wanna watch daughter from another mother." She nodded and gave me her phone. (DFAM is a good show I recommend.)  "What is it about?"

"Okay so like these two women one rich one making it by, go into labor at the same time same day. Their in the same room when they had gave birth to the daughters. The nurses take the babies to the nursery that's when they get switched up. They have the babies for about a few months then the hospital calls back and says they made a mistake. And it just goes from there." I explained.

"That sounds like a good show." "It is plus it's... Lesbian." I said with a mini squeal then stopped. I need to stop doing that. I went on Netflix then clicked on my profile and started watching dfam while eating. Mari was watching it with me while eating.

"I'm thinking about cutting my hair." I told Mari. "What why?" "I don't know I just want something different. I ain't feeling the dreads no more." "Okay well when you get out I'll cut it." I nodded. A nurse knocked on the door then came it with a cup of water and pills.

"Here is your painkillers and a cup of water." "Thank you." I said with a small smile. "Your welcome. Before you take them I'll need you to take a deep breath then pick a number 1-10 of how painful it was." I nodded and took a deep breath, "8." I said and she nodded then wrote something down.

"I'll be back later to check in and wipe your wounds down and put gel on them." "Okay." "Also here's an ice pack." "Thank you." "Your welcome." She said walking out. "Whatchu smiled for." "I was being polite." She cut her eyes at me."You ain't gotta smile to be polite."

"Sometimes you do." "Mhm ice ya own damn ribs." "Why can't you do it." "I'll end up punching you." "You kinky as fuck we in the hospital." I said shaking my head. "Mmcht. I gotta use the bathroom." She said getting up, I put the ice pack over my rib area.

Right when she closed the door her phone started ringing and I answered it. "Hello?" "Hi yes is this Amari Espinoza?" Lie or don't lie? Lie. "No but I'll relay the message to her. may I ask why your calling?"

"I'm calling about the test results. They just came back from labs and... Congratulations you are 11 weeks pregnant. We will need to know about any or if you have any medical conditions or issues. You will need to schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN and they'll tell you further information, Have a great day." The lady said then hung up.

I was frozen in shock, the phone still up to my ear when Amari walked out. She looked at me weirdly "what's wrong with you?" I scratched my eyebrow with my finger. "You- the- i- are you-" "heyy." I got cut off by Riley coming in.

"Heyyy yo ass back out the door." I told her. "Mm mm I drove all this way to come check on you." "And I don't care you need to go." "You gon have to drag me out." "SECURITY!" I yelled out. They came  rushing in the room. "This random women just walked in my room making threats to me. I'm honestly a lil scared for my life."

"Okay ma'am we'll remove her." One said and the both of them escorted Riley out. "You just lying through yo teeth." "And you harboring secrets." "What secrets I got? Exactly nun." "So you being pregnant is not a secret okay." I said with an attitude.

"Wha-" "we gotta go live in a few minutes." I cut her off. "You know what I'll just go we could do that tomorrow." She said getting her things. "Ight." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Gimme my phone." I gave her her phone then she left out. I took a nap then the nurse from earlier came in and I started walking around. Just doing whatever she told me to do.
