Chapter 27

Amari's POV 2 days later

Cameron has been asleep for 2 days now but the doctor said that might happen seeing as her body needed the rest. I've been by her side the whole time except for when I had to go home and take a shower and change clothes.

I haven't gotten the test results back either. I did however get a new phone and my backup  security team came in. The paparazzi has multiplied, and one even found its way into the hospital and snapped a photo of me by Cameron's bed side. And somehow the media knows about Cameron's condition.

"Hey." I turned my head towards Jade. "Hey." "She hasn't woken up yet has she?" She said staring at Cameron. "Nope." She just nodded and sat down next to me. "I just want to say I'm sorry." "For what?"  "For bringing Riley in your house and letting her disrespect you like that."

"It's okay. You can't control what other people say." "Yea I know but still it was rude of me." "Mhm." A nurse came in and checked Cameron's vitals and all that making small conversation with us.

Jade left a couple minutes after the nurse. I leaned over on the bed and crossed my arms then took a nap.

I woke up to people talking. I raised my head and I saw it was Jordan and Amelia. "Listen if your gonna be a bitch then you should just leave." "No you can't tell me what to do. this is my child." "Oh so now you claim Cameron." I heard them bicker back and forth.

"Jesus shut the fuck up." We all snapped our heads to Cameron. "Y- your awake." I said. "Mhm and I'm going back to sleep." "I'll go get a doctor." Jordan said then left out the room. "How- How are you feeling? Do you want some water? You hungry? Are you okay? Do you nee-"

I got cut off by her laughing then wincing. "Yeah I'm okay." "You sure? I mean you've been asleep for two days. Maybe your dehydrated i-" "shut up jeez she told you she was okay." I got cut off again by Amelia.

"With all do respect who you talking too? was I talking to you? Cause I know I wasn't." I said with a mug up on my face. I don't care who mom she is she ain't gon disrespect me. "I'm talking to you didn't your mom ever teach you manners."

"D-" I got cut off by the door opening. "Nice to see your finally awake I'm Dr. Longbottom." "Cameron." "Alright do you wanna hear about the stitches or your ribs first?" "Stitches." "

"You may need to cover your stitches with a bandage for 24 to 48 hours. Do not bump or hit the suture area. This could open the wound. After the first 24 to 48 hours, wash around the cut with clean water 2 times a day. Don't use hydrogen peroxide or alcohol, which can slow healing. You may cover the cut with a thin layer of petroleum jelly, such as Vaseline, and a non-stick bandage It's important not to scratch your stitches; even though they're strong, scratching may damage them. Now here's the tricky part since you have open wounds we won't be able to cover them because of your ribs. Compression wraps cannot go around broken ribs anymore because they can keep you from breathing deeply, which can increase the risk of pneumonia. So your wounds would need to stay open throughout the healing process or we can put some gauge bandages on them it's your choice."

"Okay and my ribs?"

"As for your Broken ribs take painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen – avoid taking ibuprofen for 48 hours after your injury as it may slow down healing. Hold an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas in a tea towel to the affected ribs regularly in the first few days to bring down swelling and rest. Most broken ribs resolve within six weeks. You'll need to take it easy during this time, but you should still be able to walk around and do your daily activities. If you find that the pain isn't getting any better, see a doctor to rule out any additional injuries that could be causing your symptoms.In most cases, broken ribs usually heal on their own in one or two months. we'll keep you here for about a week and then you should be able to go."

"Damn. I'ma fuck that nigga when I see him." Cameron said deep in thought. "You ain't gon do nothing you on bed rest." I told her. She smacked her lips "man whatever." "I'll need you to fill this form out whenever you get a chance. If your hungry there's a button on the side of your bed to call a nurse in your room."

"Right here?" She asked pointing at a big red button. "No on the side." "Nigga this is the side." "Cameron be respectful." Jordan said. "He's talking about this one right here." I said unsure. "No not that one." "This one?" Jordan asked. "No not that one either."

"Well be specific then shit all these buttons." Amelia said. Dr. longbottom sighed then walked over to the right side of cam then pointed at the button. "I literally pointed at that one." I said. "No you pointed to the next one closer to it." Bitch it's still the same- "Whatever."
